No, I'm slowly getting over my writer's block, but I still want to write a bit more before starting to go wild with my updates again...

Somehow she blames me for Nic and Clare’s divorce.” Sharni frowns. “But that’s crazy! They were divorced before you even met.” “Try telling that to Clare and Ava. As far as they're concerned, I’m a home wrecker. And Nic… he’d never take my word over Ava’s. In front of him, she’s the perfect little girl.” Amy sighs, looking out in front of her sadly. “I don’t know what to do, Sharni… I don’t want to lose my husband. But Ava… it’s like she’s trying her best to make us argue.” Sharni bites her lip, putting her arm around Amy’s shoulder. “Talk to Nic about it, Aimz. Tell him that she slapped you and that she’s out of control.” Amy shakes her head. “I can’t tell him that… Maybe I should just try dealing with Ava on my own.” Sharni frowns. “Do you think you’re going to get anywhere with her though?” “I don’t know… But it’s worth a try. For the sake of my marriage.” “Hmm. And why did you run off?” Kate lifts her chin, staring at the police officer. “That’s personal.” “Fine. And you and Miss Duval had an argument before you got shot? What was it about?” “It was about the guy I’m seeing. Chris.” “Oh?” “Yes. She claimed to be pregnant with his child and she told me that I don’t belong with him. I told her to go and I walked off. She shot me from behind.” The officer nods and looks at her again. “Was there anyone else nearby?” “No.” “All right. Thank you Miss. Ritchie. That’ll be all.” “Thank you.” He nods before walking off and Kate looks at Paul and Jodi seriously. “Are you sure we did the right thing?” Jodi nods. “Yes. Now, we have to go pick up Noah… You going to be okay by yourself?” Kate nods with a smile. “I’ll be fine. You go get your child!” Jodi grins. “We’re coming back here as soon as we’ve picked him up!” “Okay…” Jodi sighs and squeezes Kate’s shoulder. “Hey. You and Chris will be okay… you’ve been through a lot and… you belong together. He’ll see that too.” Kate sighs, biting her lip. “I hope you’re right.” Chris sighs when his phone starts ringing and reaches for it. “What?” “Daddy? It’s Michele…” He sits up straight, shocked sober. “Chelz! I’ve missed you, sweetheart! How are you?” “I’m good. Daddy, I heard something bad last night…” “What is it, Chelz? What happened?” “It’s something mommy said.” Michele looks at the door nervously, while Chris frowns on the other end of the line. “What did she say?” “She talked to some girl named Mandy. And she said that she was going to kill Auntie Kate.” Mandy sighs when there’s a loud knock on her door and walks forward, looking rather bored. “Coming!” She frowns when she opens the door for two police officers. “Can I help you?” The taller one steps forward, taking her arm firmly. “Amanda Duval, you are under arrest for the attempted murder of Kate Ritchie. You have the right to remain silent. You have the right to be presented by a lawyer of your choice…” “Mommy! Daddy!” Noah rushes forward, jumping into Jodi’s arm and planting kisses all over her face. “You came!” Jodi grins. “Of course we came!” He leans over to kiss Paul too and looks at Jodi seriously. “Can we go and visit the Big Friendly Giant again? I like him!” Jodi and Paul share a quick look and Paul smiles. “We’ll see… not today… maybe later. We’re going to visit his girlfriend though…” Noah grins. “Yay! I like her too! But I still love you more mommy and daddy.”

PART 26 Kate looks up quietly when the door to her room opens and her face lights up when she sees Chris standing in the door. “Chris!” He walks closer slowly, looking guilty. “Mandy was arrested.” Kate reaches out, taking his hand and sits down next to her. “I know… Are you okay? Did she say something… about you?” Chris shakes his head and looks at her seriously. “I love you.” “I love you too…” He moans softly as their lips meet, pushing her down on the bed gently. “Ouch…” He pulls away swiftly, looking at her concernedly. “Are you okay?” Kate laughs. “I’m fine. Come on over here…” Their lips meet again and they don’t notice the door opening again. They only pull apart when they hear Noah’s upset voice. “Mommy! Why is Mr. Giant lying on top of the fairy?” Chris, Kate, Jodi and Paul all burst out laughing spontaneously. The adults all look at each other, still laughing and Noah frowns. “Why are you all laughing?” Paul picks Noah up, holding him closely. “Because we’re happy, sweetheart.” “Why?” Jodi turns her head to look at Noah. “You make us happy, Noah. Because we love you.” “I love you too… all of you!” “Nic… It’s Amy.” Nic breathes out, relieved, when he hears Amy’s voice. “Aimz! I was worried about you, are you at Sharni’s? I’m sorry about the fight, I…” “Nic…” He immediately shuts up when he hears her tone and frowns. “What’s wrong?” “We need to have a serious talk. About Ava.” “Okay… we are going to sort this out right?” “Yeah…” “I love you, Amy.” “I love you too…” Becky looks up when there’s a knock on her door. “Come on in.” Tasha enters with a huge grin. “Hey, Becky… you have a visitor.” “What? Who?” Tasha smiles secretively. “I’m not telling… Oh, by the way, Paul and Jodi invited us to a party at their house. Jodi said you have to call her and tell her if you can make it. They wanted to say bye to you, but we couldn’t find you.” “Yeah, I was out horseback riding.” “Oh… Well are you going to greet your visitor or not?” Becky sighs. “Yeah… I guess.” She stands up, dragging her feet outside and her face breaks into a grin when she sees Rhys standing on top of the stairs. “Hey…” She walks down with a huge grin, hugging him quickly before sitting down on a step. “What’s up?” Rhys sits down next to her, smiling nervously. “I just… came to hear if you’re coming to Paul and Jodi’s party.” “Oh, that… Yeah, I think so… I’m going back to the UK in two weeks…” Rhys suddenly frowns and sighs. “Do you have to?” “Do I have to what?” “Go back.” Becky laughs. “Yes! I have to go back to uni!” “What are you studying?” “Psychology… that’s why I joined the program in the first place… it’s good experience.” Rhys looks out in front of him for a while before turning his head to look at her. “There are good universities in Australia too…” “Yeah…” He looks at her intently. “So move to Australia.” “Rhys, I can’t just leave my country and move to Australia! My family… my friends… my life…. It’s in England.” “But in Australia there’s a guy who can’t stop thinking about you… I’m in love with you, Becky.” Jodi smiles, looking at Noah. “So this is your room. Do you like it?” Noah nods enthusiastically, grinning from ear to ear. “It’s awesome! Thanks mommy! Thanks daddy!” He runs towards the bed, climbing on it and grins. “This is the best day of my life!”
