It's probably me who's colour blind, but yeah, I'd have called it a dark purple personally.

You go to all the trouble to create new and unique skins, and everyone likes the default better

It can sometimes be slightly dispiriting when we something is updated to the main site and it gets less of response than the forum-colour change.
