So "technically" Aden is stopping him from getting medical Aden, but once/if Larry kicks the bucket, then no one has to actually know Aden was there. Aden could say that he came home and found Larry dead, no one needs to know. Admittedly Aden will be well and truly screwed over, I think he would seriously be weirded out by seeing your dad die, but we would get to see many more amazing scenes by Todd.
