I'm downloading it right now. But from what I've read, it's boring.

But Naley get back together and go to counselling.

Ordered Season 1 the other day and it should be here in a few days. :D I've never seen the first four eps. That's because stupid video ezy didn't have the first disc in, but they had all the others. And everytime we go there, they never have it. So I just decided to buy it instead.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but One Tree Hill is starting to bore me. I kinda wish they had just ended it after the fourth season, that would have been a good series finale anyway. This season just haven't been that great IMO, it's just not as magical as it used to be anymore. It's like it's getting too predictable, and while watching it these days I just get the feeling they're trying too hard to squeeze out that magic and that uniqueness and emotion that used to come so naturally in the first four seasons. I don't know, it's still a great show and all, I'm just starting to think maybe they should have ended it while it was still all GREAT and BREATHTAKING and STUNNING and BEAUTIFUL. They've already announced a sixth season and I'm starting to worry this will be another case of a great TV show trying too hard to drag its success too far, and ending up canceling it when it's just another mediocre TV drama.

I sort of got that feeling after 513, but they sort of have to get the show back on track, but on a whole the Season has been good. But I agree, something is missing. It's still the same show, but there's a little spark gone out. It's great, but it's not One Tree Hill great. We've seen brilliant Episodes in the past seasons, Episodes that were breathtaking and unique. "With tired Eyes, tired Minds, tired Souls, we slept", "Pictures of You", "All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone", "Ashes of Dreams You Let Die", "You Call It Madness, I Call It Love", "Songs To Love and die By" are great examples of One Tree Hill good. So far every season has had episodes like that. But this seasons had none... Maybe that's what it is. I'm not giving up on the show though, because I love it too much.

Exactly! And you pretty much listed exatly the same episodes I would have referred to as well, btw :P

It's still a great TV show and all, but One Tree Hill used to be more than that! Damnit, just the voiceovers would hit you and make you nod and cry and think they said it so well, and now all the stuff that's said is just... words... It's like they're trying to hard to be that meaningful and inspiring, like they used to be. That came naturally, no it doesn't anymore. In my opinion the drama is as good as it used to be, and I guess that's why it's still good, it's just that magical little extra that's missing, the words doesn't seem to mean anything anymore.

I agree with what you say about the voice overs. Some of them were truly amazing. I cried so much at some of them, they were just really inspiring and sad and clever. They gave a hidden message to Episodes, I think. Feel free to disagree with me here, but I think every Episode had a message in it, I don't know, like a message about life or something, which is why I think we've been so inspired by some of the Episodes. Sub consciously we know what they are trying to tell us and we take it with us. I'm rambling... I just think the voice overs really voiced these messages. Following? Don't worry, I'd be scared if you did understand what I'm trying to say.

One Tree Hill was a very inspiring show, in short.

Well, prepare to be terrified then :P

I don't necessarily think each and every episode had one message or ONE thing they were trying to tell us, I think it was more of a general thing, like there's a lot of hidden messages and things they're trying to tell us, and I think the voiceover did a great job tying that all up and making it all clearer to us what they were trying to say. I just get the feeling they're getting too sentimental, like they're trying too hard to tell us something, but they're not really sure what other than the whole thing that's been made pretty obvious; that we all need love etc. etc. etc. Except that's what they've always told us, and they used to do it a lot better. Now it's like they're just telling us that same thing over and over without really adding anything too it, and they try to bring back loads of old characters and create this good ole' days of One Tree Hill feeling to make up for it. Only it's not 'good ole' One Tree Hill' anymore, they gave that up when they skipped four years into the future. And sure, it's nice to see old, familiar characters and hear poetic, deep-sounding voiceovers. It's just that... nice is just nice, and poetic is just poetic. It's good, but One Tree Hill used to be more than that.

I haven't yet watched season 5- episode 13 of OTH (and wont be able to for a while yet) but I have to agree with you guys when you say that the standards of this season haven't been as high as the last 4 seasons.

Seasons 1-4 were great in several ways and one of the things I loved about those 4 seasons were that in each episode there was at least one lesson to learn and again those voice overs were powerful. Some of those voice overs alone were enough to make you cry (and right now I'm thinking of one in particular that I still remember very well.)

As for this season - One of the main problems I have with it is that IMO the characters all seem to be acting older than their 22 years of age. It all just seems a bit unrealistic that all of them would be where they are now. Then again, I guess that's what makes it season 5 OTH. It's just not been as interesting to follow but I don't want to give up on the show just yet. I don't know what it is, but there's something missing.

It used to be a great show, now it's just a good show but I believe that it has the potential to be a great show again.
