That's true of a lot of TV shows when they film in a new location, isn't it? The camera crew really go to town in more ways than one, and you're left in no doubt that they're in London or New York or wherever. When they're just pretending to be abroad, all you see are hotel interiors with actors from the 'Allo 'Allo school of bad accents and big posters with "Welcome to Paris" on them. 

Neighbours actually stumped up for the UK a few times, shot on location in the states (Debbie on 5th avenue talking to Philip, Bill on Coney Island for Annalise's Documentary), even Paris itself (Aaron playing detective) and there was the whole Brett/Susan Kenya trip.

But most of the time with TV shows the interiors are shot in-house.

What amuses me is when they try "California Doubling", a landmark catches them out, ie. trying to pass off Toronto as NYC in Short Circuit 2 (Way Too clean, World's Biggest Bookstore, etc)

There wasn't any filming in the US other than some well-placed stock footage

Nice example there, funnily enough I put my location hunting skills to good use and added the warehouse location onto the SC2 IMDb page a couple of years back.

There was a particularly telling moment in H&A's most recent London shoot (featuring the family beginning with B) where they took a shot of the exterior of St Thomas' in London, yet the interior of the hospital miraculously had Australian plug sockets... the stock 'nee-naw' sound effect of a UK ambulance from the 80s was a bit jarring for 2014 too

I've read that when they shoot historical films and TV shows in stately homes, the owners usually don't allow them to remove the paintings from the walls. To the people who know about these things, it jumps out at them as quickly as the Australian plugs.

Basically Selina got mixed up with him  miscarrying Damian's  baby...

When did Chris Reynolds ....... (how do I put this politely?) cause Bobby to get pregnant with the baby she miscarried (678)?

Remember when Bobby was seeing him from the dating agency, and she chose him over Geoffrey Lime (549). She stays out all night with him (554) and footage is shown of him using a payphone to call his wife to explain why he has been coming home late, then kissing Bobby in his car (555). Alf, meanwhile, recognises him from somewhere.......and realises it was at a BBQ and he has been playing around on his wife, and tells him to leave Bobby alone just when Bobby finds out what he is.

It was a long time between this, and when Bobby got pregnant.

She finds out in ep 590. Very common for women to not know they are pregnant for nearly 2 months. Perhaps she was "spotting" or just didn't want to face the truth by taking the test sooner (very in character for Bobby to avoid that for so long, to run away from reality).

The Dr confirms that she was at 22 weeks gestation when she loses Baby Tom. It's tricky to work out exactly when ep 679 was supposed to be set time wise but we can presume that was around Christmas so that was a slight stretch of dates.
