The next two "under the same roof" relationships I can think of are Sophie and Haydn and later, Sally and Jack. Exactly. The age of consent for opposite sex "activity" (was the legislation typist Celia in disguise?! ) in NSW at this point was 16. So Tom and Pip were doing nothing wrong in condoning Bobby's booty calls to Frank at Ailsa's flat. Although, the writers insisted that Bobby was a virgin at the time of her wedding night (bull****).

In some of the early episodes, there were comments made which suggested that Bobby wasn't a virgin. I can't remember the details now but I noticed that inconsistency.

In general, it is funny how weird that were about sex in those days. I've said before that it was very odd that Pippa and Michael never did the deed before they tied the knot (cue the conversation in their bedroom after they returned from their honeymoon). There are also no end of older teenagers who you'd imagine would've moved on to having sex but never seemed to.

No they didn't. She didn't sleep with Frank until their wedding night, but it was made clear it wasn't her first time.

Fair comment. There are highly ambiguous comments from Bobby of her "giving it all away". I've always interpreted that as her virginity. Perhaps I'm wrong. Interpretation of such ambiguous lines can only ever be subjective. So I don't think the answer is definitive. But you could absolutely be right there.

To be honest, I can't imagine her holding off on her genetic sexual attraction to Alan...

Whilst it may be a deeply disturbing concept to many (if not most), GSA is apparently a very true phenomenon whereby very close relatives relatives who didn't grow up together / spend significant time in their "critical learning period" (& therefore meet as adults or teens) feel a deep sexual connection when they finally meet, especially if unaware of their connection. In Bobby and Alan's case, they didn't even find out about their familial connection until after his death. So it's very possible that some serious GSA was going on there. Neighbours explored this in 1991 with Glen and Lucy (who almost did the deed AFTER finding out they were half siblings). And EastEnders with David and Bianca (father/daughter). Of course, Brookside went a million steps further with two full siblings who DID in fact grow up together with lifelong knowledge of their relationship. 

What makes it all the more (retrospectively) uncomfortable... Bobby was technically a "three quarters sibling" to Alan and Rebecca. That's a true term used in genealogy and in genetics. Not only did they share a father but their mothers were full sisters (Morag and Barbara). In other words, simultaneously half siblings and first cousins. So their level of genetic affinity is around halfway between that of half siblings and full siblings. 

The script never confirms for sure how far they went. Bobby seemed very defensive in her denials when Don questioned her about it. Of course, she didn't then realise WHY Don was asking such intimate questions, had only just started to like him and so it's very likely that Bobby lied in her response.

There's also a line from Morag to Alf along the lines of "though blushing bride is hardly a befitting term from what I hear!". Someone can correct the exact wording So, whether true or not, clearly Bobby had a Selina-esque reputation flying around!

Personally, I don't think Bobby slept with Alan but the script brought things perilously close. With the benefit of hindsight, watching the two of them together makes for slightly uncomfortable viewing. I wonder did anybody working on the show at the time know what would come next? Having said that, it wouldn't be the first time we've learned characters had sex without giving us any clues.
