cymbaline Posted April 9 Report Posted April 9 I think Donald and Patricia had chemistry, believe it or not. It's all subjective, innit? 3 Quote
cymbaline Posted April 13 Report Posted April 13 Did Pippa and Ian ever marry? Last night I watched a 2008 episode on Channel 7's rolling "live" channel. It was an episode from just after Sally was stabbed and saw Tom. Pippa is in it and in the end titles, she's credited as Pippa Ross. Quote

I don't think they did, although I'm sure someone will insist otherwise. She was always Pippa Ross if a surname was given in later appearances. 1 Quote

Until somebody bust out the WHOLE of 1999 for our viewing pleasur, We're in the dark. 2 Quote
cymbaline Posted April 14 Report Posted April 14 I've read online that Sally went to the wedding but who knows how reliable that info is? One piece of bad information can be replicated indefinitely. On the other hand, sending Sally away to attend the wedding would have been a very straightforward way of writing Kate Ritchie out when she wanted to take some leave. Quote

I will say that I have absolutely no memory of it and I think I was paying attention and always believed that Pippa and Ian weren't married. (I'm not sure the Pauline Fowler comparison above is apt either, given she'd been Ross for, what, seven years maybe? So not exactly most of her life.) So I suspect it's yet another example of someone's faulty memory falling into the fan consciousness and being treated as fact because the episodes aren't around for us to check. 1 Quote
cymbaline Posted April 14 Report Posted April 14 After being widowed twice and having to go through the turmoil (and the paperwork) Pippa probably thought she'd best not get ahead of herself the third time around... Debra Lawrance probably preferred to be Pippa Ross anyway, for obvious reasons. Quote
CaptainHulk Posted April 14 Report Posted April 14 The Pip/Ian thing has been a source of contention for years... Maybe one day *someone* will be right and get to go full "Homer Simpson" showboat about it but until that day it's a stalemate Quote
Dan F Posted April 15 Report Posted April 15 Can confirm that there was never any mention in 1999 of Pippa marrying Ian, despite the longstanding claim that Sal went to their wedding... 1 2 Quote
