Can i ask where the line of 'the early years'  lies? I thought it was maybe the turn to 2000, or maybe the sutherland's arrival or Ailsa's death?

I just wasn't too sure especially after referring to duncan as one here

Well, the Bayside Diner covers up to 2000.Duncan was born on screen in 1989, and even if you're counting from Brendan McKensy taking on the role that would be 1998, so he qualifies.

In Episode 1649, originally broadcast on March 16, 1995, footage was shown of a car driving into a disabled parking bay right when Shane and Angel were arriving at the shopping centre car park to go shopping. That car just so happens to have been driven by Mr Andrew Warren, jilted boyfriend of Donna Bishop.

My question: who's bright spark was behind the genius bit of storyline-writing that "coincidentally" had Andrew Warren as the disabled parking bay parker, and why?

I guess it was either a joint decision in script conferences or a touch added by the episode writer.(Their name appears at the end of every episode.)I suppose it was intended as a character establishing moment.

Yeah, a very negative character establishment indeed. Not to mention an insult to the daily frustration of finding a carpark full of cars, driving round and round and round looking for a park, added to that the vilification of anyone daring to park in one of the few empty car parking spaces (which just so happens to be disabled spaces). And the way Shane carried on (as star character of that time) was disgraceful

Why was there no footage shown of Shane and Angel's honeymoon? Was it too expensive to shoot the location scenes?

Producers figured "Look, we already had Shane and Angel on their "naughty" getaway last year (only naughty thing they did was stuff Donny's car!), do we really want it again?" Though, a quick Montage would have been alright.

I mean if we did get a pre-shot off-screen wedding photo pic of Emily/Mazza and Vince/Phil (dubbed "The wedding no-one will see" by TV Week)
