Anybody see the new Eurovison website that was launched today? C'est trés belle! :D

Any Carola lovers here? It looks like she is in the Eurosong for Sweden....again. :P So she is probably going to win that.

Im not exactly a Carola lover, I do think she has a great singing voice, thats all, but she is competing with my favourite Swedish artist Andreas Johnson in the second semifinal, and I am sure it is a good song sense Andreas always has good songs. They will problably win though just because it is Carola, but Charlotte Perelli former Nilsson competes this year to, for anyone who dont remember who she is she won ESC in 1999 for Sweden with the song " Take me to your Heaven", so there will problably stand between Carola & Andreas vs. Charlotte in the end of who to send to Belgrade.

Carola and Andreas

Swedens semifinals start on saturday february 9th. Carola will be in the second, and Charlotte in the fourth.

I will keep you updated about the Swedish competition, who we made it to the final, the ten final song and later who will represent Sweden in Belgrade this year.

We're picking our entry right now :)

Homeandaway_fan1, which netowork does it air on? If it's on SVT2 or 4 I might watch that whenever a bad song comes on here, and I know that will happen :P Sweden always have way better entries than Norway :P

It airs on SVT 1, and it just finished. How long do you compete in Norway?

The two who went to the final were

Amy Diamond- Thank you, pretty good song.

Then to the second chans went

I used to have SVT1... I also discovered today that I used to have SVT2 and 4... I don't anymore apparently... Stupid digital system.

We have three semi finals I think (I don't really bother to watch those, it's amazing how much HORRIBLE music one small, nordic country can mobilize and gather onto three stages in just one year) this year they were in Bodø, Kongsvinger (I ask myself why, that's like an hour away from here, and even smaller than the town I live in... Wouldn't surprise me if we get a semi finale next year) and Stavanger. Two entries from each go to the finale. Then there's a last chance show with the ones that didn't make it, and they compete for the last two spots in the finale.

Then there's the finale in Oslo (that's what's on right now, NRK1) with the top 8, and then after a round of televoting four of them go to the gold finale (you see, NRK wants to see how they can make even MORE money from this) and THEN we vote again (same night) and we get the winner.

The gold finale is just over now and the final voting will close soon.

I definitely think the four gold finale entries were the best, but I only think one, MAYBE two of them are good enough to represent us, and that is if they both work on their English, and one of them also work on their music compared to their vocals. The vocals were too strong for the music, this song could be so much better if the music was made just a bit more powerful. Just turn up the volume a liiiittle and we're talking here!

EDIT: Christer Sjögren?! "I love Europe"?!!! SERIOUSLY?! I can't wait to hear that song!

The host, Per Sundnes just asked Christian Ingebrigtsen (who wrote one of the songs in the gold finale) if they were planning a A1 reunion in the national finale next year. Haha!

Okey, you have to tell us later who won in Norway.

I actually liked Wigwam for Norway in 2005, and Christine Guldbrandsen had a beautiful song with "Alvedansen".

If the song is in Norwegian now maybe they make it in English for ESC.

You did win when Bobbysocks won in 1985 with "La de Swinge". but then you had to sing in your own language.

If you did sing in norwegian atleast you know what you sing about, and we in Sweden and also Denmark.

I cant wait for the final in Sweden I just want it to be over and done with, it is to much with 4 semifinals one second chans and then the final, they could atleast have 2 semifinals if they have to have some, 4 is to much.

But my favourite is next week Andreas Johnson and he competes with Carola.

We're counting the votes right now, as I'm writing and I'll update as I write.

In the gold finale we have King of Trolls - "Far Away", former Idol contestant Maria Haukaas Storeng - "Hold on be strong" (written by Mira Craig), Torstein Sødal - "Eastern Winds" (written by Christian Ingebrigtsen) and Veronika Akselsen - "Am I supposed to love again".

So far with the juries in Kongsvinger and Stavanger voting it looks like it's between Maria H S and Torstein Sødal are winning.

I didn't like Maria's song that much (neither do I like her, or Mira Craig for that matter) but I'm hoping for King of Trolls. At least it's original. Torstein Sødal's song is okay, it's the second best IMO, the lyrics are good, but it's not powerful enough for a ballad.

The jury in Bodø has now voted, and Maria Haukaas Storeng has most points.

Now we're moving on to the televoting, and that's basically what's important. Here's who has most votes after the regional voting (all votes counted, not just for that region)

Northern Norway: Maria Haukaas Storeng (Favourite: Maria Haukaas Storeng) (Maria and Mira look shocked, so do I.)

Trøndelag: Maria Haukaas Storeng (Favourite: Maria Haukaas Storeng)

Western Norway: Maria Haukaas Storeng (Favourite: Maria Haukaas Storeng)

Eastern Norway (biggest region): Maria Haukaas Storeng (Favourite: Maria Haukaas Storeng)

Southern Norway: Maria Haukaas Storeng (Favourite: Torstein Sødal)

So I guess that leaves us with two great, unsolved mysteries. HOW and WHY.

Also, why did they announce the results from Eastern Norway before Southern Norway? The East is the biggest region, and we already knew who was winning after their votes, cause there aren't that many votes from the southern region. Weird.

Maria Haukaas Storeng - Hold on, be strong (at semi finals, Kongsvinger) (Written by Mira Craig)
