Um, I don't know how this would work...

I'm all for Scotland being in the competition... but how would the UK enter? They can't enter as the UK if Scotland would be entering as well. That article isn't *totally* true either. I know that Northern Ireland is a part of the UK, but when it comes to the Eurovision, they prefer to enter our national final rather than the UK one.

Oh, I just had a rather good idea. I know Belgium switch between regions each year, but wouldn't it be cool is we could adopt that system too? Maybe we could switch provinces each year. Like a rotation. I would like that... :D

Maybe the UK won't enter. But Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland will. But then there'll be a problem. If Northern Ireland and Ireland enter the contest, that would be a bit weird, no?

In Belgium, we only have 2 regions. So each region can enter once every two years.

There are so much more regions in the UK and Ireland (I think, not sure about Ireland  ) that you'll have to wait longer until your region can enter again. But it could still work. I think it would be worth a try. :)

I think it would get very messy if all the countries in the UK took part seperately. I'm confused just thinking about it.

Ireland has 4 regions/provinces - Leinster, Munster, Connaught and Ulster. Most of the Ulster province is in Northern Ireland though. I'm not sure how many regions the UK have either... too many to count I think. :P

Let's say the UK enters the contest. But the contestant could come from Scotland in 2009, from Wales in 2010, from England in 2011 and from Northern Ireland in 2012. That way each country would enter but it would still be called "the UK".

I think that would be less confusing to, sense I was a little confused by all the regions you posted and if they entered separatly.

In Sweden we have four semifinals in different parts of Sweden plus the final in Stockholm, and there we choose the winner. It is not that complicated in Sweden.

Mor ve Ötesi are representing Turkey for this years Eurovision. They are a rock group... and better still... all male! It's a nice change. The past few years, all of Turkey's entries seemed to consist of a singer with half-naked women around them. :P

Here are a few music videos from Mor ve Ötesi - Quite an excellent band! :D

Mor ve Ötesi - Bir Derdim Var

Mor ve Ötesi - Yaz Yaz Yaz

Mor ve Ötesi - Sevda Cicegi

The song "BirDerdim Var" is my favourite. ^_^ The actual song that they are singing in Belgrade is called "Deli" and it sung it Turkish. When the song is on youTUBE, I'll try and post it here! :)

I think this is the first year that I'll vote for Turkey.
