Anaya Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 What I was going to say Conrad is sooooo good with being upset with only facial expressions. He makes me so upset just watching him. Even when he was talking to Martha his voice was so soft, I love him so much. Yes he's very good at portraying emotion, very believable. I still remember the scene where he was sitting alone in his living room, after telling Martha that he wouldn't be a part of the baby's life and she can tell Jack she's pregnant with his child. He had no lines, but his expression alone conveyed how upset and regretful he really was. Very emotional scene, just wanted to give him a hug. As was the recent scene with Martha, he can do emotion better than Paul IMO. I think Paul's better at more lighter stuff, not so expressive when it comes to the deeper stuff.
Kokapetl Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 I really like Roman! I didn't like him when he first came into it (he was ALWAYS right, and it got on my nerves), but once he settled in he became so much better. Now he's one of my faves!

BAH don't even get him started on him. I am so annoyed that he's ruining any chance of me crying in this SL with the scenes he's in. I think the acting is so poor where he's concerned with this. I want to chuck pillows at the screen! lol. You're right. Roman's face usually speaks volumes. I'm not going to be able to catch up on tuesday to friday's episodes from this week until saturday. I'll miss my Roman fix.

I think the acting is so poor where he's concerned with this. I want to chuck pillows at the screen! lol. Ditto. I hope they have more scenes of Martha with other people like Alf, Tony, Morag, Roman etc. They work so much better, as both actors involved in the scene react off each other. Like the Morag/Martha scene in the SP(not sure if you've seen it??), it's so sweet and emotional, and very believable. Jodi's doing really well with this storyline but Paul's the weak link IMO. If both actors were up to the mark, like Todd & Paul G in the abuse/drinking storyline, you know the storyline would be so much more moving to watch. Saturday's not so far off, now you know how us UK people feel, having to wait hours each day for Aus pace episodes to be uploaded, just to get our daily fix. Aww Roman. If only he was more attentive to his daughter, he's so good with other people(Aden, Martha, Charlie etc.) though. Maybe it's just easier for him to help/support/advise other people on their problems, as it doesn't effect him directly. With Nicole, he's not sure how to go about it as he's so much more involved. So instead of dealing with it, the easier option is to cart her off and bury his head in the sand. Anyway he's going to have to deal with it soon, now Elliot's been added to the mix. Oh and CaR are just so Such a mature and open relationship, so good with each other. Charlie's so patient with Roman and his long list of complicated problems, which is refreshing to see. What a change in personality she's had, compared to the attitude she had when she arrived. Some of Roman's laid back personality traits seem to have rubbed off on her, which is great.
Jamey-Maria Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 I could swear we are the same person sometimes, lol. I whole heartedly agree with everything you just said x 1000000. We're one of a kind you and me Anya (and yes I have seen the SP, so sweet, but so off topic for this thread. ) I'm actually not suprised Charlie's done a backflip, I mean, if you had the opportunity with Roman you'd do whatever you could to hold onto him. ;)
Anaya Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 I could swear we are the same person sometimes, lol. Yes we seem to freakishly have the same views on everything. Are you lurking in my head?? Yep, Charlie's backflip doesn't seem so surprising, she didn't stand a chance against Roman's charm and sex appeal. BTW it's Anaya, Yes it's odd, unique, different.... but it's my name(blame my parents!). It's of latin origin. I don't blame you for thinking it's Anya (more common) and I get it often. And you can call me what you like, i'm not bothered, was just letting you know.
Jamey-Maria Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 Aww sorry. My bad. I did read the username correctly I just make a lot of typos. Stubby fingers (you can blame my parents this time- ti's a gene. ) Do you think we might get to see Roman get a little physical with Elliot if he messes with Nicole?
Anaya Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 Roman's protective instincts kicking in and getting in to action man mode, I like the sound of that. Actually I can see that happening, I mean when Jack confronted him in the Diner recently over the baby thing, he was Mr. Calm (ofcourse he could have flattened Jack what with his SAS background and Conrad's muscles!) and didn't retaliate, as he could understand why Jack was angry. But with Elliot it's a different story, he's an older guy who's messing around with his daughter, I can see him getting angry. Let's hope they don't dissapoint on that note.
karter Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Do you think we might get to see Roman get a little physical with Elliot if he messes with Nicole? If that happens I might just fall in love with Roman again, 'bout time we saw him get into a biff, what's the point of having an army man on set if he's not going to knock someone out cold?
