KatieroxNZ Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 Here's the next chapter Chapter 21 The next morning Martha had woken to find Jack sitting in bed holding Lily. “Morning, sleepy head” he said placing a small kiss on Martha’s forehead “Morning” she said starting to sit up, “And good morning to you too” Martha said taking a smiling Lily from Jack for a morning hug. Martha couldn’t help but smile everything was so perfect she had an amazing husband, a gorgeous daughter and another baby on the way. “Ok let’s all go and get some breakfast” Jack said “And what do you feel like this morning Mrs Holden” Jack asked her “Um just some toast would be fine, I think it’s the only thing this little one will let me keep down” she said rubbing her tummy “Awwww are you feeling ok this morning hun” Jack asked “Yeah, I’m fine at the moment just a little tired that’s all” she said honestly “Ok well I’ll get Lily ready, you just go back to sleep ok” he said “No I can’t ask you to do that, you’ve already done it for the last two days in a row” Martha replied “I insist, you have to look after yourself and this little one” Jack said rubbing Martha’s tummy “Fine….. But I don’t really like this” she said with a grin “Oh I bet you don’t” Jack said putting Lily in her cot and going back and pulling the bed covers over Martha and planting a light kiss on her cheek “I love you” Jack whispered in her ear “I love you more” Jack heard her say from under the blankets, he couldn’t help but smile to himself “Ok princess lets go and get you some breakfast and let your mummy have a rest” Jack said picking up his gorgeous daughter from her cot and taking her into the kitchen. *********************************** Later that day Martha had woken up from her sleep to find a note from Jack saying: I’ve had taken Lily to the park for a bit but I should be back soon. Take care of yourself and the baby. Love you Jack xxx. Just when Martha finished reading the letter Jack walked through the door with Lily, who had ice-cream all over her face “What happened to you” Martha said with a giggle “Well, I didn’t want to come home incase you were still asleep, so I bought her an ice-cream and she enjoyed it. As I’m sure you can see” he said with a smile. “I bet she did” Martha said with a smile “Ok sweetie, let’s go and get you cleaned up” Martha said “I can do it if you want” Jack said “Its fine Jack”, “Are you sure” Jack replied “Positive” Martha said back. Martha had given Lily a shower and put her into bed, as she needed a sleep from her big adventure today. “You feeling ok” Jack asked Martha “Yeah I’m ok I guess, that sleep really did me good” she said walking over to Jack “Awwww well I’m glad, see you should doubt me” he said with a cheeky grin “Hmmm you know everything….. Most of the time” she said back with a smile. “Ok, I guess your right” he said giving her a kiss on the lips. ****************************** Comments......

Just for you Barbara Chapter 22 1 week later Jack and Martha had been enjoying the Gold Coast over the last week, Lily was really enjoying going to the beach and the park almost everyday, Martha was enjoying just been able to relax, not have to worry about everything and Jack was enjoying spending time with his wonderful wife and gorgeous daughter. Jack woke up to find Martha not in bed with him, he wondered were she was, so he went to investigate. Lily was still asleep so he left her in her cot and walked out to the lounge area, Martha was no where to be seen. “Where has she gone” he said to himself, so he went and looked on the deck and there she was just sitting there “Martha, what’s wrong” he asked her, she turned to look at him, she had tears in her eyes “Martha, talk to me” he begged her “Today’s the day Jack ” she said sadly “What do you mean today’s the day” he asked her curiously “It doesn’t matter” she said wiping her tears and trying to walk away, but Jack grabbed her arm and stopped her “No Martha we have to talk about this, I’m you husband remember” Jack said “Jack it doesn’t matter, please just leave it” she said trying to get past him again, but he stopped her once more “Martha don’t walk away please just tell me what’s going on. Is it the baby” he asked her with a hint of worry in his voice. “Jack what don’t you get, I said leave it…So please just do what I ask for once” she said running into their bedroom and shutting the door, Jack decided not to follow her it was obvious she needed her space. ******************************** Later that day Jack had gone out for a bit to let Martha calm down. Martha walked into the lounge and put Lily down on the floor, once she had done this Jack walked through the door “Hi” she said “Hi” he said walking over to her “Look Martha I’m sorry for pushing you before, it’s just I hate seeing you upset” he said honestly, “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you it’s just I needed to deal with it on my own” she said with a weak smile. “I don’t want to push you anymore, but do you think you could tell me what’s going on” he asked hopeful “Um…..Ok” she said walking over to the couch “But I don’t want to push you” he said following her over to the couch “It’s fine, your not pushing me into anything” she said sitting down on the couch and Jack followed “Where do I start” she said “How about the beginning” Jack suggested “Ok…. Well I haven’t told many people this but what a lot of people don’t know about me is when I was little I had a younger sibling, a little sister to be exact. But sadly when I was 7 years old she passed away from a rare blood condition, and today’s the day she died all those years ago” she said sadly with tears streaming down her face. Jack immediately went to comfort her “Martha I’m so sorry” he said pulling her in for a hug “I miss her so much Jack, more than anyone would ever know” she said breaking down in his arms. ******************************** Next Time: Martha & Jack return to Summer Bay, but will everything go to plan? Comments?
