My vote goes to #2. Its stunningly done, the pink background just makes it so perfect!

All the entries were really good and well done to all but I am voting for #2 :)

Entry One

Phew! *Fans self down* That is one amazingly HOT body. I really liked the colouring of that one & I think that because of it being close up as well, it's just so bold & it's such a greatly coloured & cropped picture. The background works well too. It contrasts the main picture. I think your best skill is that you have made the colouring brilliant in this particular one, because it's of the correct tone - it's not too bright & vibrant, yet it's not dull & it catches your eye.

Entry Two

The colouring on this one has the same type of effect as number one, as in that the coliring has caught my eye whereas it's bright, yet not too powerful. Although some vibrant colours work well in avs, I don't always think it's the most effective depending on the picture. The colours just portrayed differently in this one but I definitely think that works well. I really liked the wording on this one as well, the whole format of how it was presented without making everything look 'cramped.' It was nice to see that there was no focus point to the av & that everything was just as equal, with the words written & the picture cropped perfectly. Just beautiful.

Entry Three

I like the effect this picture has. It's plain, simple & works effectively. However, although the colouring works well for the picture that it is, I prefer lighter colouring. But taking the colouring out of the equation at the moment, I do adore the cropping of the picture. It's just appropriate & effective, so works well simply. In general, a very nice picture.

Entry Four

Wow. You're a very clever person aren't you? A bit of a show off, hey? How did you manage to get a smaller version of the picture into the bigger picture? That's amazing. I really like this one actually because of that particular talent. I can't do any kind of artwork like what you see on the forums, let alone something like that which appears really complicated. I must admit that the colouring on this one is incredible. It's quite vibrant, yet subtle, I think because it's broken down by the other picture in the middle. So it doesn't come across as too bright. But I really do love that colouring. I like the cropping too, that was done amazingly well.

Entry Five

Nice tattoo ... wondering who it is  Daryl Braxton  It's quite a plain & simple picture, yet because of the colouring, it stands out enough from the rest as well which also works really well. It definitely caught my eye. I like the cropping of this one, it's beautiful. It works effectively because of it's simplicty & almost like not a lot has had to be done (although I am 100% positive that you have put a lot of effort into this, I'm not denying that one). But sometimes, the ones that are more simplar but have amazing colouring can often look a lot better than those which are just packed with information.

Entry Six

I like the picture for this entry & I think the colouring works well too. I'm not too sure if it's because of the effect you've gone for or not but I find the picture a little fuzzy, just a tad blurry. Yet saying that, that might just be the effect you have gone for. If so, then well done because it works really well. Again, it's a simple picture with no 'amazing' effect like wording, etc, but it still works well.

Entry Seven

I really love the colouring in this picture, how it goes from darker a the top of the picture to a nice, warm glowing colour at the bottom. I think that works really beautifully & contrasts the picture, spearating those two parts yet at the same time, brining them together to allow the colours to work with each other & compliment each other. That must a really difficult skill to master & you've done it so perfectly. It just looks beautiful. I love the wording as well which once again is the same colour scheme. A really beautiful picture with amazing colouring & cropping.

Verdict

Well done to everyone who entered, there is obviously some amazing talent on the artwork forums. I loved every entry that was sent in (& we got loads this time which is really impressive so well done). Congratulations on the hard work & time you must have put into this. The pictures in general have obviously been worked on a lot. The skills that were used were just amazing & I think the various types of colouring, cropping & wording works really well so well done.

But my vote goes to entry number two for the exact reasons I explained :) So well done.

Okay, this is a really difficult vote actually.

Entry One

It's absolutely beautiful; the colouring, cropping, just everything. I like the two figures in the background. It's realistically potrayed, with them not being the centre but still having an appearance in the av. I do however find it a little bit dark.

Entry Two

I love this av as well, again, it's beautiful with the colouring & cropping. Unlike the first one, there aren't any people included although it still works well. Saying that, the theme is landscape & that's exactly what you've done. However, I love the fact that it's so bright & vibrant. It's beautiful.

The Verdict

It was a really difficult decision & well done to both of you (whoever created these avs) because they are both seriously stunning & gorgeous & a lot of hard work & effort has gone into them. But I vote entry number two for the exact reasons I have provided.

It's hard to choose.

#1 - It's a little dark, but I like the scene depicted and even though the theme was landscape, I like the inclusion of the people; it seems like a beach.

#2 - Despite it being nice and bright, when I look at it, I get a sense of loneliness from it, which I really like.

Well done to both creators for making it a hard choice. I like them both for different reasons, but I'm going to vote for number one; it just feels more like Summer Bay.

Both entries are beautiful but I'm going to vote for entry #2. The cropping is perfect and I LOVE the colouring. I like how the ocean and the sky seem to merge together.

Hmm, this vote is rather hard for me.

I am going to offer some constructive criticism if that's alright;

#1: I love the cropping and choice of picture but the image is just too dark. It is meant to be a sunny summers day but the avatar is all clouded and dark and for me, it kinda ruins it. It would have been a fantastic av if the colouring was just a little lighter!

#2: For this av, it is actually the opposite. The colouring is far far too bright as opposed to too dark. I think it is bright that it actually taints the natural beauty of the beach. Overall the cropping is great, but just the picture is too bright!

Overall, I am going to choose #1.

The cropping and choice of image is fantastic! For me, it is the nicer of the two! :)
