~Zoe~ Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 Tonights show was very good! The first of the semi finals start tomorrow night at 8.30, all of the acts I wanted in the semi finals are through which is good. Looking forward to seeing Diversity tomorrow night, they were fantastic in the auditions, and the 10 year old girl, Natalie
Izzy H Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 They have done it again and totally gone mad and put crazy, rubbish acts in the semi-finals over really good potential acts. For example, that 12 year old boy that played the drums that was excellent did not get through whereas that drag act who put his finger in his belly button and licks it got through to the semi-final. Seriously, I think the Queen would much rather see the drum act over the drag act. It just doesn't seem fair to the good acts. Anyways, tomorows semi-final night, there are 3 stand out acts for me; Susan Boyle, Diversity, and the 10 year old girl. I take it they are doing the same as every year and 2 people from each semi-final will go to the final stage. Therefore, out of the three acts above, the two I personally would want to see is Diversity and Susan. Although, saying that I am basing it on the auditions, things could change when I see the acts they do tomorow night. It is going to be an interesting week.
Symphony Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 i do not understand why they put the guy with the ears through - fine, he was good at his act which was totally disgusting! and - like - we turned the channel; does the Queen really want the possibility of seeing that?! Seriously?!!?!
Izzy H Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 ^^ Agree, I just didn't get it. I thought it was a vile act and I seriously could not believe that they decided to put him through. I just hope the British public vote for talent and not pathetic, silly acts like that. The thing that really gets me is they (the Judges) constantly say they are looking for talent and that they know what the Queen wants to see, but yet they go the opposite way and put acts through that do not follow the criteria. It is called Britains Got Talent, so put the Talent through and leave the non-talented people to go back to their day jobs.
Symphony Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 True, true. I know then again, they're trying to rope the public in to watch - which is fine to put 'stupid, unwanted' acts through to the original rounds where the audience can be amused - but for the serious semi-finals, etc? Pffft. urgh. i need to get the images of the guy with the ears out of my head >.<
-g-l-a-m-o-r-ous- Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Its really frustrating when you see people who need this chance and have a talent are thrown out so they can put people who they can use their buzzers for goes through. Britains got talent is a complete fix anyway. Last year Nemesis had to come up with new routine in about 6 hours while other dance groups got to repeat their dance!
Reo Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 I couldnt believe it when they showed the group of bad acts and they said 'Yes'. It was clear it wasnt the judges deciding it, because that group have no talent. It's about making each show have someone that can be booed and laughed at. I would be quite happy to sit there and watch talent after talent, even if I didnt like them, it's better than watching someone with no talent being booed by the audience, but that's what it is about, to cause the booing. There is no other reason for them to be there, but to get booed and laughed at, it's not good entertainment and it pushes out 5 (or 6?) good talents, like that drummer boy in yesterday's show. Can anyone honestly say they preferred Darth Jackson to the Drummer Boy? Last year I heard they made people change around their acts and they also included clearly bad acts, the same will happen this time. The only way the show will be good is if they only put through talent and let the talent do what they want in their act.
lino Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Susan Boyle will have a hard act to follow, after everything which went on about her. I just hope she will not be a disapointment for everyone. She has to sing her socks off. And i hope ppl will vote for her and not rely on everyone elses. Because that can be her downfall.
steff99 Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Britains got Talent was amazing tonight I thought Susan Boyle, Diversity, Natalie were amazing But Susan and Diversity deserved to go through
