Don't worry Mrs B, Rachel's life will go on the up soon. I thought I'd put that episode with a sad ending as 2007 draws to a close, so 2008 will start with a happier one

Another brilliant chapter Miranda!

I hope that it won't be the last that we hear about Hugh or see of Ceri as Ceri has grown on me.

I'm glad that you incorporated Tony and Rachel's dvd watching as they never showed it in the show. I hope that they can find a happy medium with their genre watching.

I enjoyed the encounter with Jack as it was very comical and I could imagine that actually happening.

‘Do you know whether your dad is seeing Jazz at the moment?’ she asked him.

Jack gave her a questioning look.

‘Nothing like that! Just as friends,’ she smiled, knowing he was only teasing.

‘Just as well.’ He made his way towards his and Sam’s bedroom, with the tea. ‘You might end up as my stepmother.’

The last bit cracked me up and it's my favourite quote from the fic. It would be interesting seeing Rachel as Lucas's and Jack's stepmum. :P

I liked how you incorporated the two conversations between Rachel & Tony + Kit & Mattie. I thought that that showed great creativity especially when you showed Rachel to be multitasking in listening and answering.

It was interesting to see you bring Kit back to the bay and I could for a moment remember her moaning and groaning in the show too. I'm glad that Rachel spoke her mind to Kit like she should have in the show. I wonder if this will be the last we'll see or hear from Kit....

‘It’d be a bit difficult in the circumstances....’

Rachel suddenly imagined Kit pointing to the kitchen, mouthing ‘we don’t want to be near Rachel’ and Matilda giggling in agreement.

You manage to tap into each character and show the readers your brilliance in writing at the same time. Even the little things make it all worth it to read and reread your fics to pick up the character traits.

Rachel questioning herself was also another character trait that wasn't really highlighted too much in the show after Kim & Kit left the Bay but you manage to capture it brilliantly.

Rachel strode through her front door and into her bedroom, where she flung herself on her bed and cried for her broken marriage, for the baby she and Kim would never have, and the life she could have enjoyed with him.

I was expecting Tony to come after her, apologise for Kit's behaviour and to comfort Rachel... am I reading too much into this situation or is my imagination just running wild?

Please update soon and I look forward to seeing a happier Rachel for 2008.

Gosh, I'm going to get so big headed soon

Yes, I thought Rachel should have told Kit what she thought of her, Rachel is too nice and diplomatic sometimes.

Anyway, I'll post the next episode as soon as I can [i haven't finished it yet!] cos you are all being so encouraging :)

I've only just found this fic and just read it all in one sitting. It's absolutely fantastic! I love the descriptiveness and the way each person thinks and acts completely in character. Kit  You just reminded me how unbearable she was at the end. Please update soon!

Hi and thanks again to 'my readers'

I do need some help actually. I find it hard to know how to make the characters dialogue sound Australian. Do you think some Australian readers could help me make it sound less English?

I asked this on another forum about American- English translations and got into terrible trouble, so no racial offence meant :)
