So today I finally gave in and checked out the Anti-Adelle thread, I was so determined not to. Firstly I can't help but point out how hilarious it is to see J/M fans not liking a couple because of too much hype and breaking up constantly. But I was pleasantly suprised to find that for the first time the wasn't just fans posting to bash a character for no reason, as it usually is with anti threads.

The one complain that seems to be the common reason people aren't liking Adelle is because of the constant break ups. I have to say while I hate on again off again relationships and feel that they ruin characters, I don't find the Adelle breakups to be ridiculous or tiresome. If they were breaking up over things has petty has not spending enough time with each other or because Belle asked and Aden did not want to tell her the truth immediately then as great as find these two together I probably would have started to get fed up with them. Keep in mind the times they broke up and Aden's character, he is not someone who likes people to think he is weak and he would rather hurt someone first before they had a chance to hurt him.

Firstly, Belle telling him that it was just meaningless kisses. Considering Aden's reputation, and imagine if we didn't know about his past, can you blame Belle for being apprehensive about being with him. Aden kicking her out was true to his character has well, he was willing to take a chance and admit that she mean't something to him only to be rejected.

Secondly, Belle knowing about his dads drinking. Think about all the drama Belle went through with Drew from the moment they met and then she finally moved on from that, can you honestly blame her for wanting to steer claer of all this drama. As for Aden he almost came close to accidently spilling his secret, would it have been in character for him to calm down and talk about it. No, he reacted the way someone like his character would, he rejected her attempts to help because he was scared she would reject him if she knew the truth.

Thirdly, calling her a skank. As a huge fan of them, that scene made me incredibly sad but at the same time I loved it. It felt so real the way he reacted, and truly showed how much this affects him. Once again he hurt her, before she had a chance to hurt him like he probably thought she would.

Now I have to say, them breaking up after the cliffhanger is going to be like the fourth time but it is going to give way to some pretty powerful scenes especially since Aden seems to have become really dependant on Belle. The only problem I have with it is adding Angelo to the mix. I hope they don't reduce this storyline to yet another love triangle. Now that would turning them into J/M. I actually find people stating Adelle are the new J/M insulting, because unlike J/M they aren't being broken up over petty issues. And there make up and break up scenes are truly amazing.

Wow! officially done with my long rant, just had to get that of my chest.

^ Well said :) Personally I don't see the meaningless kiss situation as a breakup as I didn't really see them as being "together" then but I agree with what you have said. Aden and Belle have broken up a few times more than what would normally happen in realy life but not really enough times for everyone to complain about and as you said, it's always been over serious thing, not the petty crap that causes other couples to break up i.e. school/work disagrements or sleeping with the other persons mother :P
