whooo!!! update!!!! enjoy it!!

----------------------

It had been an hour since they had left. An hour of silence, for no one dared to speak. The whole town, it seemed, was in the Diner waiting for news on this one boy who, in all truth, it couldn’t be said they all liked.

‘Funny isn’t it,’ Louey hissed to Belle, ‘How half of these people hate Aden and yet the minute something bad happens he’s their flipping best friend!!!’

Belle nodded in agreement, grateful to Louey for breaking the silence. It just reminded her of nothingness…endlessness…death…and allowed her mind to wander to dark places she never wanted to go.

‘Most of them just want to catch some juicy gossip.’ She commented in disgust, whilst absolutely NOT looking pointedly at Colleen, oh no.

‘Grrr!’ Louey growled in frustration, ‘I can’t stand just sitting here! I’ve gotta go do something!!’ she began to stand up but Belle firmly grabbed her arm and pulled her back down, feeling a strange sense of over-protectiveness about her, ‘You will not,’ she said sternly. ‘Imagine if Justin and Milo come back and I have to tell them that they have to go out again to find you and also,’ her voice dropped a level. ‘You don’t just have yourself to worry about now.’

Louey clenched her fists in frustration, gritting her teeth as she whispered, ‘You think I don’t know that? You think I can just forget about this…this thing??’

Belle glanced around them to make sure no one was watching, ‘Calm down, Louey. Alls I’m saying is that it wouldn’t be wise for you to go and do something stupid.’

‘What, like get pregnant?’ Louey grinned at her.

Belle couldn’t suppress a small smile, ‘I can see the mood swings have begun to set in already!’ she joked.

Louey groaned, ‘Don’t…you were there this morning when I near ripped the head off Aden, although to be fair he did accuse me of sending that disgusting letter, so I think I’m excused…’

‘Yeah, well, he was pretty out of line…I wonder who did send that letter though…’ Belle mused.

‘Bet it was her,’ Louey joked and nodded in Nicole’s direction without realising she was now watching them. ‘Ooer,’ she grimaced as Nicole got up and stormed over to them.

She had been feeling guilty about the letter all day and especially because Aden was missing and she was generally just looking for someone to get angry at and Louey was a perfect victim. In all honesty, she loathed her.

‘You got something to say about me, say it to my face slag!’ Nicole was on the offensive.

‘Sweetie, I’m not the one who’s a slag around here,’ Louey said before remembering she WAS, after all, the unmarried, knocked up teenager.

‘Just tell me what you said.’ Nicole huffed, giving her evils.

Louey gave an overdramatic sigh as Belle stifled a laugh which only earned her a look that could kill from Nicole.

‘So insecure, for someone so young!’ Louey laughed and rolled her eyes. ;I was just saying to Belle here that it was probably you who sent that letter to Aden this morning. Was it?’ she asked jokingly but her smile faded as Nicole went completely white and guilt became evident on her face.

‘Oh my go. You did, didn’t you? Didn’t you?’ she yelled getting to her feet.

‘No!’ Nicole tried to deny it but she was fooling no one…she always had been a bad liar.

‘Why would you DO that?’ Belle angrily stood up with Louey.

Nicole was starting to feel very small and ganged up on and felt she had to fight her corner all by herself, ‘Because he deserved it! Because he never wanted me but the minute you two come along-’

‘Oh, so it’s all about you, is it Nicole?’ Bell shouted at her. ‘What the hell is wrong with you?!!’

‘And how did you even know…about…y’know?’ Louey asked, dreading what the answer would be.

Nicole smirked, ‘I heard you and him talking the day you came to the Bay.’

Louey gasped in shock as she remembered the conversation she had had with Aden that day, ‘How much did you hear?’

‘All of it.’ Nicole said smugly, enjoying the fact she was having on this girl who she detested. ‘You know, you’re such a slag you were probably asking him for it.’ She said, both of them knowing who she was referring to.

That was the last straw for Louey, ‘How dare you!!’ she screamed and slapped Nicole hard across the face.

Nicole yelled in pain and the people in the Diner who had been watching the exchange now came forward to prevent anymore violence from taking place. But they failed as Nicole, enraged and with a big red hand print on her cheek, shoved Louey backwards.

Louey stumbled and fell, landing hard on the floor. A hand flew to her stomach as a sharp pain shot through it. She cried out and her face crumpled in pain, ‘Belle…’ she gasped and Belle ran to her side, the only one who understood what was wrong.

‘Call an ambulance!!!’ she screamed at the stupefied onlookers and a dumbfounded Irene ran for the telephone.

‘You better pray everything’s alright,’ she said to Nicole, her voice low and cold as ice, before turning back to try and comfort a scared and in pain Louey.

Nicole could only look on in fear, wondering what the hell she had done.
