One Tree Hill Season 6!

I agree, for the first time after the time jump the show is getting better again. They're definitely getting closer to the old OTH standard again (not quite there yet though) and they've finally cut that idiotic crap they pulled where they tried to make it deep like it was before, only it was all cliché and crappy sob-moments that were about as moving as an English breakfast (no offense, if it makes you feel any better, I love your candy, just not your breakfasts)

Anyway, toast and tea aside, the Dan stuff is really good, and Jamie is getting a little more believable. He can get away with not being 100 % realistic though, he's cute enough to get away with anything (and I hate kids!)

Brooke is also really good, I used to mainly be a Peyton fan, but she got boring after season 4. She's getting a little better now though, and the same goes for Lucas. And I'm so happy Chase is back!!!

No matter how good it could get now though, I really hope they have the sense to end it this time if they have to make any major changes like continuing without Chad. He's basically the main character, and they've already pulled a lot of stuff they wouldn't have gotten away with if it hadn't been for the fact that the first four seasons were so damn good they have a major base of die-hard fans who will watch until the end no matter what. If Chad doesn't want to return for a seventh season, it's over. It has to be.

I think it's bad enough that Rachel's not a part of the show anymore (and that they didn't give her a proper exit!) so even though I'm not a huge Luke fan anymore, I am absolutely sure when I say that I think they should end it if they don't get Chad to return for another season.

Nothing has been confirmed yet - but the E4 website says:

"We don't have an exact date yet, but expect the new series of One Tree Hill to return summer 2009"

OTHfans.com had the EXCLUSIVE news that Chad would not be renewing his contract (see "Season 7 without Chad???") and with today's official announcement that there will be a 7th season, comes more news from our sources.

Once again, the source continues to confirm that Chad did NOT renew his contract. My source also confirmed that Hilarie Burton did not renew her contract. Both say that for personal and career reasons they have decided not to renew their contracts.

However, nobody is being killed off. For you fans that are Lucas and Peyton fans, have no fear, they do get married in the end. And in the final episode leave Tree Hill.

I am sure the network and the producers will try to deny this information as they did before. However we stand by what we report here as accurate and we trust in our source 100%. We have NEVER in 6 years of this website reported false information from the set. This website is here to PROMOTE the show and I strongly feel that starting/spreading rumors is not a form of promoting. If I was not confident in my sources information 100%, I would NOT post it.

Interesting, I'm glad Hilarie is not returning aswell as Chad, because I would of hated it if Peyton and Lucas split again.

It will certainly be weird without them being around, but I think Sophia, Bethany and James are very strong actors to keep the show going for it's 7th season, and that then should really be the end of OTH me thinks.

A lot of fans will hate the fact that Lucas won't feature in S7 but take S4 of The OC with Marissa, without her I personally think the show improved drastically.

I think being around one of the largest oth forums on teh net I can safely say taht OTH will lose a lot of viewers next season. Personally I dont watch the show JUST because of LP, but I know other do and last summer it really came down to a point where if Lucas didnt choose Peyton, the die hard LPers (not OTHers, LPers) would simply stop watching because tehy;re the only people they watch it for and a lot of the fanbase is made up of die hard LPers, semi-casuals who watch it because like like LP, Peyton only fans, Luke only fans, and those are the people tehy're losing.

I'm still getting over the sock that OTH was renewed for another season. Like seriously, PLEASE let this show die. We've had a great 6 year run, its time to end. No doubt with both Chad&Hilarie gone the show will suffer. Immensely. This more or less will slaughter the ratings. As an LP fan I am thrilled because we finally get our happy ending. But seeing the video Hilarie posted I am sad. I got teary eyed. Though Patrick said that Hil choice of leaving was personal, I think there maybe more to it.

Although the show has been renewed apparently Soph/James/Joy still haven't signed their new contracts [though someone said that they had]. This gives me hope that, all of them will decide not to come back, thus no season 7.

I don't think I'll be that interested in S7. So much will be missing. No more Laley [my favorite friendship], Breyton, Paley, & brotherly scenes with Lucas/Nathan. I think I would've been able to handle if only Chad left but with Hil gone to, it'll be too empty. It started with the core five and thats how it should end.
