Todd would be most likely to get the blame, by the press, as he was famous and had a fast car and some unscrupulous eye witnesses may jump on the bandwagon.

I'm not saying it was her fault at all - there's just as much chance that it's his fault - but the point is the article's not saying that. The article is purposefully making him out to be guilty, and saying that any statement to the contrary would be lying, and that saying nothing at all is an admission of guilt. "Elaborate" makes it sound like sending flowers is an act of pure guilt, as if flowers would make up for that kind of injury anyway. He was just trying to be nice either way and let the poor woman know he was thinking of her, but no, this hideous - and I air-quote again - "person" is determined to make it a beat-up. Tabloid "journalism" sickens and infuriates me beyond belief, and it's worse when it's happening to someone I care about

It could be hers, it could be his or it could be a mutual fault or a freak accident. Even if it was his fault it's not like that he went out to do it. For me it's only newsworthy for this press reporter due to his fame.

I read somehwere that now that the old lady is out of hospital the case has resumed but with a long way to go because 6 seperate whitnesses came forward with different views on what happened. I really hope Todd wasnt to blame because over here (uk) Ben Freeman - who was a popular actor in a uk soap- was accused of rape and was unanimously found not guilty in court but he lost his job and home and he did nopthing wrong! Do you think that would happen to Todd ? Not that i want that to happen cause i love Todd i think he rocks
