solaris Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 Ok guys, here's the next chapter - part fluff, part sensual, part angst and part build up...a bit of everything really. Enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing Warning - moderate sexual theme (mostly depending on your own imagination) and a reminder of Aden's past (not explicit just repercussions) Chapter 33 Back at the beach house, Aden and Belle were talking about the day's events. Aden was stretched out on the bed – hands behind his head, whilst Belle was sat next to him leaning against the headboard so she could look at him. “I can't believe that Natalie would agree to that! Actually...strike that. I don't want to believe that she could do that, Nic's her daughter for Gods sake!” Aden glanced at her, his eyes clouding. “I can believe it Belle.” She frowned at his response. “I'm the poster-child for lousy parenting remember? Not all kids are their parents priority.” She winced at his response, knowing it was true. Despite that, the dry cynicism in his tone made her smile slightly - a smile that slowly widened as she surveyed her boyfriend's supine form. Eventually he looked over at her again, her smile catching his attention. Taking a moment to think once again how gorgeous she was, he lifted an eyebrow in silent query. Belle's smile became a naughty chuckle that she made no effort to hide. “What?” Belle shook her head and continued chortling. Aden sat up, attempting to use his greater size to look threatening. All out giggles were his only response so he tumbled her from he sitting position back down onto the bed, leaning over her. “Start. Talking.” What was intended as an intimidating tone, ended up as a seductive growl. Belle lifted her head and kissed him, nipping his bottom lip in sensual punishment for his high handed tactics. He returned her kiss, then pulled back to look at her. “Are you going to explain yourself?” Belle rolled her eyes. “Because you're not going anywhere until you do!” She considered that for a moment, thinking that it would suit her nicely...but she'd get no peace from her bull-headed boyfriend. She huffed in exasperation. “All I was thinking was that if you truly were the poster-child for bad parenting...” “Carry on!” “Well...the world would be a more...interesting place!” Aden started to smile, shaking his head in disbelief – she was nuts! Just as he opened his mouth to tell her, Belle took matters into her own hands. Sliding her hands through his thick blonde hair, she laced her fingers behind his head and pulled him down to her. As his lips crashed against hers, Aden promptly lost his balance and found himself sprawled over Belle. Before he had a chance to move, Belle had wrapped her arms around him...one leg hooked over his to keep him in place. The heat of their kiss rapidly escalated, going from hot to scorching as Aden let go of his fears that he was hurting her. It was pretty obvious that Belle had him exactly where she wanted him, with no intention of letting him go! Suddenly, Aden pulled away. His breathing was harsh and he was sweating. “Aden?” Belle's concern was evident in her tone, she knew that something was wrong. Aden propped himself on one arm, running the other hand over his face. “I'm sorry, I can't...” His words broke as he fought for control, Belle guessed what had happened. “Flashback?” He cringed as she hit the nail on the head. Unable to face her, he closed his eyes and nodded. Cool fingers ran over his face, wiping away the tears that had escaped and coming to rest on his jaw. “Aden, look at me please.” The words were soft, but the gentle command was still there. He shook his head. “I can't.” A frown marred Belles features, she wasn't going to give in here. “Yes you can Aden, you're not going to hide from me. I won't let you...and you have too much respect for me.” The last statement broke through and he opened his eyes, meeting her gaze. “You have nothing to apologise for, you've done nothing wrong. I've said before, no means no and stop means stop. We can take this as slowly as we need to, there's not rush. When you're ready, when we're both ready, that's when it will be right.” Aden dropped his forehead to Belles, she always made things right. “Thank you.” She could hear the quiet relief in his voice and smiled softly. “I think it's time for sleep.” He agreed, shedding his jeans and t-shirt before burrowing under the covers. Tucking Belle against his chest, he dropped a kiss on her neck and was asleep in seconds. Breakfast time at the beach house was always manic and the following morning was no exception. The school was still closed and Belle wasn't working – officially at least – but everyone was up and moving...with one exception! “Belle, did Aden stay over last night?” The enquiry surprised Belle, coming as it did from Geoff. “Yes he did, but he practising for polar bear status.” The quizzical look her statement produced made her laugh. “Polar bears hibernate Geoff, Aden appears intent on emulating them.” Geoff laughed, eventually understanding her reference. “Ah right, I'll catch him later then.” Just as he finished talking another voice growled from Belle's bedroom door. “I'm not a bear of any type and I don't hibernate, I just like to sleep! Mornin' gorgeous, mornin' bible boy.” With that, Aden vanished into the bathroom and the shower started running. Belle poured a cup of coffee and and a glass of orange juice, setting them on the counter. A few minutes later, Aden emerged from the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. He mooched far enough into dining area to snag the coffee, taking it with him into Belle's room. “Don't worry Geoff, he'll be something approaching coherent when he comes back.” Sure enough, Aden bounced out of Belles room fully dressed and sporting a huge grin. He kissed Belle and downed the juice she'd poured for him. “What's happening?” Geoff muttered a response and started to leave, but Belle blocked his escape. “Care to repeat that?” He wasn't going anywhere until he did so... “I said; a demonstration of Darwin's theory of evolution condensed from millennia to minutes.” Everyone laughed at that, not even Aden could really deny it...coffee was an essential component of coherency in a morning. He settled for grabbing the younger boy in a headlock and scrubbing his hair, Geoff's elbow landed in his ribs and he was forced to let go. “Boys will be boys!” Belle's tone was coloured with exasperation as she retreated to her room. “Try not to kill each other in the next few minutes please.” The 'boys' in question sniggered as she snicked the door closed behind her. Geoff glanced at Aden, knowing that he wasn't going to get a better opportunity than this to apologise. To say that he wasn't looking forward to this was an understatement, it wasn't going to be easy – but then, should it be? He considered that for a minute, he had been in the wrong so why should it be easy to rectify that? Deciding to think about that in more detail later on he turned to face Aden. “Can we talk?”
