Low ratings or not. I knew this season would be the last one. The show jumped the shark long ago (which I was okay with), but how many times could they keep going around the same circle?? Not many. So I was expecting this to be the last.

I did however think that this season had really picked up & there was lots of gripping storylines. Infact, I think it was the best one behind season 1. Also when the storylines started to actually give answers to everything, I knew they were aiming for a conclusion. And ofcourse when the brothers chose 2 different directions, it was plain obvious what they had in mind. They were pitting brother against brother, cliched, but I always expected it to go that way. Both Michael & Linc want an end to everything. With Linc he's fighting for himself (hence he's fine with choosing the 'bad side' as long as it gets him the outcome he wants). Whereas Michael's always been fighting for his brother & justice as a whole too (so he's always going to stay on the good path).

With this season doing well, they maybe could have stretched it to another final season. But I guess it's actually better to leave on high, when things are still interesting. The trailer looks good for the final 6 episodes. It'll be interesting to watch. Roll on April.

Bump

So, what does everyone think of the latest developments?

I for one was stunned to find out that Lincoln wasn't Mike's bio-brother, because that seemed to go against the main premise of the show - two brothers against the world. But this latest episode (4-20) has put that to rest.

Can't wait for the double ep finale next week!! :D But almost last time I'll see it. :(

Oh. for UK viewers - Sky One will run the 2 hour standalone TV movie "Prison Break: The Final Break" on May 26 in a world premiere!! (This standalone TV movie is released on DVD in the US in July. According to the producer, there will be a flash-forward to 4 years later at the end of episode 22. This movie explains certain events and situations that transpire in this flash-forward, although it adds nothing to the "official" conclusion of the show.)

I have a feeling that Christina lied about Michael and Lincoln not being as you say bio-brothers. It just doesn't seem right. We know that the bad guys will do anything or say anything to get what they want or to move their plans forward, maybe this is just another lie.

I am really excited as rumour has it that

C-Note returns (don't know what episode though)

.. something to look forward to.

Yes. I was stunned too. Yet a part of me was expecting some kind of huge twist, that's what this show does (& other similar type shows). And to be honest with it ending, they had to go with the mother of them all, in terms of shock twists. They. Are. Not. Even. Brothers. :o So not that much of a surprise then. But Christina, what a complete b*tch, but I like that. :P Plus I agree with ^^Izzy that maybe she was just messing with their heads, in typical villianous style, and lied about the whole thing. Using the one thing that is actually guaranteed to get the desired reaction out of Michael, that she so desperately needed at that particualr time.

I knew the whole conference thing was a set up, and yet again they fell for it. Or should I say Linc & his usual 'bull in a china shop' routine messed everything up, and like usual Michael had to go in & help him. Still all very gripping stuff. I'm really looking forward to the finale now & the old returnees (Gretchen, Sucre, C-note etc.) Here's hoping they all do feature. :D

Can't wait. Roll on finale. So excited. :D But sad that it's ending too. I guess it had to happen though. :(

Great finale in my opinion. Although I really didn't understand why Michael had to die. I'm glad that Linc got together with Sofia again but why isn't LJ featured in any way ? And why wasn't C-Note at the cemetary ?

At first I was scared, that C-Note might be cooperating with the Company, but I thought about how much he loved his daughter and I knew it couldn't happen.

Ahh, maybe I'll start watching it again from the S01E01, just to go through it again. It was such a great series. Too bad it had to end but atleast they didn't stretch the show too much, unlike Lost.

I agree with what Looptroop said about some of the characters missing. I found it weird that C Note came back and then Sucre stayed to go to the wedding and help but C Note didnt. And although I understand why Sucre would stay for the wedding he didnt even mention his family when it came to helping with the prison break.

I found it weird that although the movie tied up some loose ends (e.g Michael) it didnt tie up others. For example, why was the General getting the chair? Also Mahone was with the other fbi agent at the end and obviously Pam had remarried. But when we saw the movie Mahone was giving up info on Michael which they never found out about and then gave the false info about the plane. Then at the end he was at the gravesite with Sarah (a now escaped convict)???
