Aden+Belle forever Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Chapter 20 – Always there for you Belle quickly opened her eyes and sat up in the hospital bed. She was covered in sweat and she was panicky and nervous. She had had a nightmare about Drew, about what Drew had done to her, about what Drew would do to her if he got out She wiped her eyes as she felt the tears welling up in them. She looked around the dark room and felt a slight feeling of warmth in herself come as she saw Aden, asleep in the chair in the corner of the room “Aden” she whispered, but he stayed asleep “Aden” she whispered again, this time Aden heard her “Huh, what” Aden said, quickly jumping up from the chair “Belle, are you okay” “I’m fine” Belle chuckled at his concern Aden rubbed his eyes tiredly before he dragged the chair across the room and placed it next to Belle’s bed. As Aden sat down on the chair, Belle held out her hand, which Aden gladly accepted “Are you okay” Aden asked, squeezing her hand tightly “I’m fine” Belle replied, although Aden knew that she was lying “Belle, tell me what’s wrong” Aden persisted Belle’s head immediately went down as she felt the tears beginning to roll down her eyes “Its Drew, I had a nightmare about him” Belle said, almost sounding like a little lost child “I’m afraid he is going to come back for me, for us” “I wont let that happen” Aden replied determinedly, wiping away Belle’s tears “I will always be here for you, and will protect you, no matter what” Belle felt the tears began to stream down her eyes again “Hey, what’s wrong” Aden asked “Nothing, I just…I’m so happy you’re here” Belle replied “I will always be here for you Belle” Aden replied with a warm smile ----------xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx----------- The morning sun filled the hospital room, but Belle and Aden didn’t even notice. They have been up half the night, just talking, holding hands, occasionally kissing, just being there for each other. “Hope I’m not interrupting anything” Irene said, gently opening the hospital door and entering inside “Of course not” Aden replied with a smile, although there was a tone of disappointment in his voice Irene looked at Aden sternly before turning her focus back onto Belle, who was chuckling lightly in the hospital bed “How are you doing girlie” Irene asked, shuffling her way past Aden and hugging Belle “I’m fine, honestly, I don’t want all this fuss” Belle said, although secretly she was really enjoying it Irene pulled away from the hug and pulled up a chair next to the bed, that is when she noticed Aden standing in the corner of the room, staring blankly against the wall “Aden, why don’t you go and get yourself a coffee love, you deserve a break,” Irene said, warmly smiling at Aden “I’m fine here” Aden replied, folding his arms across his chest “Aden, its fine babe, I’ll be okay” Belle said, smiling at Aden Aden smiled back at Belle before he blew a kiss at her and headed out of the door, looking for a canteen or somewhere that he could get a drink ----------xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx----------- “Aden” Geoff shouted after him, racing down the hallway to catch up with him, Annie desperately trying to keep up with him “Hey, what’s up” Aden asked, taking a sip from his plastic coffee cup. “Its just” Geoff began, before Annie interrupted him “We wanted to thank you, for finding Belle, for bringing her home” “What she said” Geoff replied, lightly chuckling Aden smiled warmly at the pair “No worries guys, I’m sure you would do exactly the same” “I was wrong about you Aden” Geoff said, proud to admit he was wrong. He stuck out his hand, which Aden gladly accepted. Annie interrupted the handshake as she hugged Aden Aden was a little taken back by the hug but was pleased none the less. They had finally accepted him ----------xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx----------- A few hours later, after Irene had taken Geoff and Annie home, it was just Belle and Aden. Aden had climbed into the hospital bed with her, his arm wrapped around her shoulders. Belle had her ankle, which was now covered in plaster, resting under several pillows at the bottom of the bed “How’s your ankle doing” Aden asked, kissing Belle on the cheek as he finished his sentence “Its okay, I suppose” Belle replied, “I just want to get out of here, I hate hospitals” “I know, and as soon as the doctors give us the okay, you can go home, with me” Aden said with a smile. “But I don’t want to stay here Aden, I just want to go home now” Belle muttered “Cant you just sneak me out of here or something” “It wont be that easy to do considering you can’t walk properly” Aden replied with a chuckle, before Rachel entered the room “Hi Belle, Aden” Rachel said with a smile, as she looked down at the chart she was carrying in her hands Aden and Belle just watched her as Rachel eagerly scanned the chart “Okay, the good news is that you can go home tomorrow, but I want you to take it easy Belle, that means as I want you to give your ankle plenty of rest” Rachel said “Don’t worry, I will take good care of her” Aden replied, smiling over at Belle
