Aden+Belle forever Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Chapter 24 – Emotions Aden stormed into the Beach House, barging his way past Geoff and Annie and heading straight to Belle’s bedroom, slamming the door behind him “Aden” Geoff called out, but Aden just ignored him Belle walked though the door that Aden had just barged in through and carefully shut it behind her before throwing her car keys down onto the table in frustration. “Belle” Geoff asked, confused “What is it Geoff” Belle snapped, running her hand through her hair “Nothing” Geoff muttered defensively Belle let out a loud sigh before apologising to Geoff “Look Geoff, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to snap at you, it’s just…” Belle began before suddenly stopping, not really wanting to reveal the details of what had happened “It’s just been a very stressful day” “It doesn’t matter” Geoff said with a smile Belle smiled back at Geoff as she went to the kitchen and flicked the kettle on “Geoff, you want a coffee” Belle asked “No thanks” Geoff replied, as he turned back to the TV show that he was previously watching “How about you Annie” Belle asked, but there was no answer “Annie” Belle stepped out of the kitchen and looked around the room for Annie, but she was nowhere to be seen. “Geoff, where’s Annie” ----------xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx----------- Annie slowly entered Belle’s room and saw Aden, staring blankly out of her large bedroom window. He heard the door creak open and quickly turned around, revealing his tear-stained eyes and his now swollen left cheek “Aden” Annie said softly, slowly approaching him “Leave me alone” Aden muttered, turning away from Annie and staring back out of the window “Aden, what’s the matter” Annie persisted “I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE” Aden screamed directly into the scared child’s face Annie quickly turned around and ran out of the bedroom, sobbing loudly as she did so. Aden instantly felt terrible as he watched her leave the room, turning his eyes to the ground when he saw Belle leaning against the doorframe “What was all that about” Belle asked sweetly, although there was a tone of annoyance in her voice “I just” Aden began, avoiding eye contact with Belle “I need to be alone” “Fine, but as soon as I have talked to Annie and calmed her down, I’m coming back here, and we will talk about this” ----------xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx----------- Belle slowly climbed down the stairs and felt so guilty when she saw Geoff comforting Annie, who was sobbing loudly into her older brothers shoulder. Belle quickly sat down on the sofa and placed a comforting hand on Annie’s shoulder. “Please don’t cry Annie” Belle begged, feeling the tears well up in her own eyes at seeing Annie, who was like the little sister she never had, so upset “Im…so…sorry” Annie muttered in between sobs “Don’t be sorry, Aden shouldn’t have shouted at you, you did nothing wrong” Belle said, herself now crying as she pulled Annie in for a hug “Is that why Annie is so upset” Geoff asked naively Belle didn’t answer him; she just continued to hug Annie, hoping to calm her down After a few minutes of non-stop crying, Annie had eventually managed to calm herself down. She looked up at Belle, who was still hugging her “Could you apologise to Aden for me” Annie whispered “You have nothing to be sorry for Annie” Belle replied, before Annie interrupted her “Could you just do it for me, please Belle” Annie asked, with a hopeful look in her eyes. “Fine, I need to talk to Aden anyway, will you be alright now” Belle asked softly “I’ll be fine Belle, really” Annie replied, weakly smiling ----------xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx----------- Belle slowly entered her bedroom, bracing herself ready for the upcoming conversation with Aden, but he was nowhere to be found. Belle scanned the room but there was no sign of Aden, until she notices that her window was wide open “Aden” She groaned in annoyance, pulling out her cell phone and trying to call him, but there was no answer. Belle wrestled with her conscience for a minute. On one hand, Aden needed her, she knew that, but on the other hand, she couldn’t just Annie or Geoff on there own, especially not Annie, given how upset she was just a few minutes ago. She bit her bottom lip as she thought about what to do. She carefully walked down the stairs, making sure not to make any noise as she did so. She peered around the corner and saw Geoff and Annie laughing about something. Belle could see that Geoff was making all kinds of silly little jokes and that Annie just could not contain her laughter. Belle smiled at the scene, and this helped to make her decision easier. She slowly climbed up the stairs using the same carefulness she used climbing down them and headed into her bedroom. She approached her window, and placing her feet carefully, managed to climb out of it successfully. She jumped down from the window onto the ground, managing to land on her feet before racing off in search of Aden, desperately hoping that he was somewhere near ----------xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx----------- Aden sat on the beach, staring out to see when he heard his mobile phone began to ring. He checked the caller ID and saw it was Belle. He didn’t answer it; he just let the phone ring. After a few seconds he receive a message saying he had a new message on his answer phone He called the answer phone and listened to the message “Hey, its Belle, look, I know your upset about everything that has happened today, but can you just come home and we can talk about it, please Aden, I love you” Aden pulled the phone away from his ear and felt the tears began to well up in his eyes. The events of the day finally catching up with him. He continued to stare out to the sea until he felt a shadow cover him; he turned his head towards the figure that had now taken a seat on the warm sand beside him “Aden, is everything okay”
