Aden+Belle forever Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Chapter 25 – Nothing is okay Aden glared at Roman as he made himself comfortable on the sand. After realising that Roman wouldn’t go, Aden gave up and stared back out to the sea “Aden, come on, you can talk to me, what’s wrong” Roman persisted “Nothing is wrong” Aden grumbled in annoyance “I’m not stupid Aden” Roman replied “if nothing is wrong, then why are you sitting on the beach alone in the dark, rather than being either home or at Belle’s” When Aden didn’t reply, Roman continued “Look Aden, I know you must be upset about your brother dying, but bottling up isn’t going to help, you need to talk to someone, whether that be me, or Belle, or anyone” “I don’t want to talk about it” Aden muttered “Aden, I know you miss your brother” Roman began, before Aden interrupted him “This has nothing to do with Sean” Aden shouted, standing up and beginning to walk away, only to be held back to Roman “Then what is this all about then Aden, I haven’t seen you this upset since” Roman said, before Aden again interrupted him “Don’t say it” Aden said, although his voice had now died down to just a whisper “Then what’s wrong” Roman asked Aden let out a deep breath as he took his seat beside Roman “I saw my father” Aden replied “that how this happened” Aden then pointed to his left cheek, where despite the poor light, Roman could make out the bruising “Aden” Roman gasped, “He didn’t” “He did” Aden confirmed “Does it hurt” Roman asked “No” Aden replied bluntly, not wanting to sound weak in front of Roman. In all honesty, it didn’t really hurt; it just stung a little when it was touched, no matter how lightly “What happened, I mean, I have met your father, he isn’t the type of person to hurt anyone, let alone his own son” Roman said, trying to make sense of the situation “What’s that mean” Aden snapped “your saying its my fault” “No, not at all” Roman replied quickly “Save it Roman, I don’t want to hear it” Aden said, standing up and beginning to walk away “Aden, please” Roman begged “What” Aden replied, quickly turning around to face him “Just sit down and talk to me, you will feel better getting this of your chest” Roman said calmly Aden reluctantly gave in, and once again took a seat beside Roman “So, what happened, and this time, start from the beginning” Roman asked Aden let out a loud sigh before he began to talk “After the funeral was over, me and Belle were about to leave, when I saw my father approaching the grave. I confronted him and began yelling at him, telling him it was his fault Sean was dead” “And then he hit you” Roman asked, as Aden just nodded “Then what happened” Roman asked “Then Belle warned him off” Aden said, as a small smile reached his face at how his girlfriend had defended him against Larry “But your okay now” Roman asked, snapping Aden out of his thoughts “I’m fine, but thanks Roman, I really needed to talk to someone” Aden replied, running his hands though his hair “Anytime, mate” Roman said “come on, its time to get back” “If its okay with you, could I go to Belle’s first” Aden asked, digging his hands deep into his pockets “Sure” Roman said with a smile as they began to head of the beach and onto the path leading into the town “Roman” Aden said “Hmmm” Roman replied “Why were you on the beach in the middle of the night” Aden asked “Ah, well, I had to get away from Nicole, she was driving me crazy, something about clothes, or hair, or painting her nails, I don’t know, Its hard to keep up with her” Roman said with a chuckle, as Aden also laughed ----------xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx----------- Aden climbed though the window into Belle’s bedroom but was upset to see that she was not there. He slowly made his way over to the bed and lay down on it, messing around with a few things that lay on Belle’s nightstand to stop his boredom He didn’t not have to wait long, as after a few minutes, he saw the window fly open, and Belle try to climb though it, struggling to get inside “Busted” Aden said, making Belle lose her balance and land on the bedroom floor with a loud thud “Aden, you scared the life out of me,” Belle said angrily as Aden laughed “Sorry babe” Aden replied, as he got of the bed and helped Belle to her feet “but we will need to work on your window climbing skills, you would make a terrible burglar” Belle slapped Aden across the chest in a playful manner before she too began to smile at Aden’s comment. Aden grabbed Belle’s hand and led her across to the bed, where his face, and his voice, suddenly became more serious “Belle, I’m sorry, I really am” Aden admitted “Aden, it doesn’t matter, I understand” Belle said, trying to comfort him “No, no, I shouldn’t have run off, and I shouldn’t have shouted at Annie, is she okay” Aden asked, generally sorry for his actions “She’s fine, she was upset earlier but me and Geoff managed to calm her down” Belle replied “Good, I will apologise to here in the morning, before she goes to school” Aden said “Aden, you don’t have too, she will understand” Belle replied, before Aden interrupted her “No, I have to apologise to her, she deserves an apology at the very least” Aden said determinedly “Okay, you can apologise to her at breakfast, okay” Belle said, kissing Aden on the cheek “I never got to thank you either Belle” Aden said, kissing Belle passionately on the lips “thank you” “What was that for” Belle asked, letting out a giggle “For everything” Aden replied, giving Belle another passionate kiss
Deborah Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Awww Loved that Belle tried climbing through the window! Didn't guess it was Roman on the beach. Glad they had a chat, good to have Aden/Roman interaction in the story. Looking forward to next chapter.
