I don't have time to read many fanfictions, but this one looked interesting, so I gave it a go! It's good...sad, but good! You even gave Aden's mum my name..although you spelt it wrong. Tanya, damn you! Can't wait for more!

Six Years Ago.

Eleven year old Aden Jeffries had finally done what he had always wanted to do since his mother died when he was five. He had gotten away from his father and grandfather and he was now living with Nicole and Roman, some people he met when he took down his grandfather and ran away. Well, he knew Nicole as he had a crush on her at the time when he met up with them that night he so felt comfortable around them, as comfortable as possible under the situation anyway. He has been living there officially for just over a year now when Roman decided to foster/adopt him and his father agreed as he knew Aden would be safe there. Aden got over his crush on Nicole quite fast though, learning what she acts like when shes not at school and around the teachers.. and that is a total diva. For the first six months, Aden had to sleep in Romans room as he had frequent nightmares that occurred every night. After that, it was three months with Nicole as they were only three times a week then he finally got his own room as the nightmares only occurred once every week or not at all which he was happy about as he hated waking up tired and having to head off to school with a chirpy Nicole.

Aden was given a cell phone for his tenth birthday from Roman and he immediately got Sean and Justins numbers from Larrys phone and caught up with them occasionally. Nicole was jealous for a while as even she didn't have a cell phone and she was Romans biological child. She shut up soon when Roman brought her a cell phone so both were now happy. Aden hung around with quite a few kids at school, a lot in fact. Everyone treated him with respect as word went around about what had been happening to him. His usual friends were two boys called Matthew Lyons and Axel Hay. Aden didn't think of them as bad kids, but challenged. Challenged meaning, wanting to challenge and beat up everyone and everything that moved. Aden hung around with them mainly because they didnt give him sympathy. They taunted him and they thought they made him feel bad but Aden didn't, he felt great because Matthew and Axel reminded him of Sean and Justin. Aden invited them to his eleventh birthday and the three boys went down to the local creek and got totally drunk. Aden managed to stumble home late at night and got yelled at by Roman but forgot about it in the morning. Thats what Aden thinks is best about Roman, he'll teach you your lesson then won't pressure you anymore about it.

Nicole soon totally ignored him as Aden became more in dependant and learnt that Nicole's worse word was no. One day when no-one was around to hang out with as Matthew and Axel were going off drunk somewhere, Aden walked around and up to the local diner to see if there was anything he could do. Plus, he was meant to ask for a summer job as Roman was starting to find out he hated the word no too and used it often enough that Aden needed to find a new source of income. When he entered the diner, he saw the person he never wanted to see ever again. Grandpa Stanley. Aden was looking between him and the door which he just entered, asking himself if he should leave or just ignore him. Aden didn't wonder why he was even there, he was meant to be in jail, but he saw a police man in the corner and he realized that he was just out for the day or something. Stanley didn't seem to notice Aden, or if he did he ignored him as he wouldn't want to cut his day short by making a scene and being arrested again. Aden shook leaving thoughts out of his head and headed to the counter where Colleen Smart was standing, shaking her head at all the kids lurking in and out, chatting loudly. As soon as the old women saw Aden, she jumped up and walked over to him and smiled.

"Aden, how are you young man?" Before Aden could even think about the answer, Colleen continued on talking. "I see your grandpa is here, I will never know why, with you around. Shame what that man did to you.."By that time, Irene had walked out, saw Colleen and Aden and ran over, pulling Colleen away by sending her back to the kitchen to get an order for table three. Aden just stood still, not knowing what to do or say in that situation. Irene smiled politely. "Sorry about her darl, what can I get you Aden?"

Aden looked up, coming back into reality. He had to think for a second of what he had come there for and remembered. "Oh right. Irene, I am looking for a job. Is there one vacant here?"

Irene had to think about that for a second then smiled down at the boy. "If your serious, there is a job vacant here. We are needing to hire two kids for waiter duty and I think you'll be good. Roman works here also so he can fill you in on everything you need to know. We've hired the other person, my foster daughter Belle Taylor."

At that, Aden's face lit up and he smiled. Because he just got a job at the most popular place in Summer Bay and he got to work with, in his opinion, the hottest girl in Summer Bay too.

Four Years Ago.

Thirteen year old Aden Jeffries was not having a good day what-so-ever. First, as soon as he woke up, which was because Nicole charged into his room accusing him of stealing her hair gel. He lied and yelled at her that he didn't have it and she should get off her throne and stop being such a spoilt princess. Then, right after Nicole stormed out of his room, not convinced that he didn't have it, he rolled out of bed, tripped and whacked his head on the bedside table and he now has a large bump on the top of his head. At breakfast, Roman had to be called away to sort something out at work so there was no cooked food. Normally, Aden would just get cereal but today, there was none as Nicole had finished the bottle off the night before.

Off Aden went to school, hungry and angry. At the school gate, he saw three people he did not want to see; Geoff, Annie and Ruby. The day before, all three of them ditched him for Nicole. Okay.. it didn't help that Aden called them worthless little dogs and then started a fight with Geoff. So he wasn't surprised when they all just looked at him then turned back to their own conversations. Soon though, Aden met up with Matthew and Axel and planned to skip school and go back to Roman's and get drunk.

The bell rung and the threw boys ran out the school gate and went the back way [through all the bushes and around tall buildings] before they finally reached Roman's house but stopped dead in their tracks when they saw Roman outside, talking to a female officer. Immediatly, the boys started freaking out and thinking the school called the cops or something and they were in trouble, but fear turned into confusion when Roman kissed the woman and smiled. They stood there, wondering why Roman was kissing a cop that was probably out to arrest them and throw them in jail.

They made their way back to school and went into class, saying an absurd lie about Matthew being eaten by an alligator but he tasted funny so he got chucked up. But Aden couldn't concentrate in class and was wondering why Roman would be going out with someone without telling him or Nicole. Unless Nicole knew of course..
