zzazzb Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 Wow, keep the updates flowing in “You’re screwed mate.” Ric told him patting him pityingly on the shoulder. “Whys that?” he asked confused as to why they were even talking to him, they never had before. “Because,” Drew told him slowly as if talking to a child. “You’re Belles new pet.” “What’s that supposed to mean?” Aden demanded aggressively. “It means you’re screwed.” Ric responded. wow, Rics's one intelligent man... good update
Jody Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 This has got to be one of the most original storylines for Aden and Belle on here. Definetely one of the most interesting at the moment. I am as intrigued about Belle as Aden is. I wonder why she's in there. I like how he only feels comfortable around her.
Lustre Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Chapter 4 Aden jerked awake as the door to his room banged open suddenly. His heart pounding madly in his chest he turned to the person behind the disturbance blanching when he noted it was Belle, he hadn’t seen her since dinner over a day ago. she had been missing all yesterday even from group therapy and he didn’t have the balls to ask anyone where she was. But now she was in his room and he was suddenly very aware of his lack of clothing – a pair of black boxers and the sheet wrapped around his feet- and the smirk that had made its way onto her face. “Come on Aden time to get up.” She told him her voice commanding but soft. Muffling a yawn with his hand Aden tried to put a coherent sentence together. “Belle what are you doing it’s so early, its Saturday the day we actually get to sleep in.” “Yeah I know,” she told him. “but you gotta get up early if you wanna check out all the crazies. You now the early bird catches the insane freaks.” “I'm pretty sure that’s not how that saying goes.” He told her while moving from his bed to his drawer looking for something to wear he smiled as she turned her back to give him privacy, it may be early but he wasn’t going to pass on spending time with her. “Why do you do that?” He asked while pulling on a clean t-shirt. “Do what?” She wondered her voice muffled as she was still facing away from him. “Everyone here refers to themselves as insane or crazy or freaks or bizarre.” He responded. Sighing as she turned back to him, lucky that he had finished dressing. “It’s not meant to be derogatory Aden, it’s not an insult, at least not when we say it. I guess everyone figures if they can say it about themselves then when someone else says it maliciously it won’t hurt so bad, it’s kinda like an ongoing joke in here. You’ll get used to it.” She explained. “Everyone keeps telling me that.” He muttered as he moved to back to his bed to grab his watch and wrist bands. “Stop complaining and come on!” Belle exclaimed her voice slightly irritated but amused. “Fine, fine. You’re bossy you know that.” He told her as she ushered him from the room. “Where are you taking me?” he asked as she pushed him down the hall. “Do I need to leave some kind of note in case I never come back?” “I'm not kidnapping you Aden!” She laughed turning to smile at him brightly. “And even if I was I doubt you’d take much convincing, in fact I think I’ve just proved that with my ability to get you out of bed!” She told him sticking her tongue out at him. Glaring at her playfully Aden stopped walking abruptly and leaned back against the wall of the hall crossing his arms across his chest. “Oh there’s that amazing self confidence or should I say egotism rearing its ugly head again.” His smirk fell when she turned back towards him a pout forming on her face. “You think I'm ugly?” She asked her head bent towards the ground. Aden froze, he hadn’t meant to insult her, **** he thought, they’d been joking around seconds ago. “What Belle no it was a joke you know haha… just without the funny bit obviously.” He explained desperately trying to get her to smile again the way she had mere seconds ago. “Come on,” he urged her. “where ever you wanna go I'm there , Belle I'm sorry I didn’t mean to insult you.” Suddenly she looked up at him a smile lighting her face brightly and Aden realised he’d been tricked. “Told you, you were easy.” She said as she grabbed his hand. “I wouldn’t waste my time kidnapping you now that I know all I have to do is look a little sad and you’ll go ‘where ever I want’ was it?” She teased. “You’re evil.” He told her though he was smiling. “Nah,” she replied. “I'm just good at what I do.” “And not conceited at all.” But he didn’t mind he was too busy focusing on her grip on his hand as she guided him down the corridor. ---- “You barged into my room dragged me out of my warm comfy bed…” Aden started “I’d hardly call them comfy Aden!” Belle interrupted but he held up a hand dismissing her comment. “Don’t interrupt,” he said playfully nudging her with his shoulder as they stood surveying the room. “Anyway where was I … ah yes dragged me from my bed,” he continued putting emphasis on drag. “Then you pulled me down the hall practically separating my arm from my body – which quite enjoys being attached by the way- just to bring me to the common room. You Belle are crazy.” He finished his eyes scanning the room once again, nothing new or interesting catching his attention. “I thought we’d already established that.” She responded curtly. “And I know that it may not seem all that great but that’s cause you don’t know what’s going on, you haven’t been introduced to everyone yet.” She told him her arm sweeping out to the teens present in the room. “Think about it Aden, everybody is here for a reason, you got all these fascinating people and stories all under one roof and all you can do is look bored.” She explained shoving him gently in the direction of a couch in the centre of the room. “Sit” she commanded. “Fine.” He conceded unwillingly. “You are so bloody childish.” she told him dropping onto the couch beside him. “Now come on if you’re going to live here you’re gonna have to come around to our way of thinking at least a little.” “Okay, okay.” he said hold him up his hands up in defence. “Teach me o wise one.” “Jerk.” She replied but she looked pleased. And it made him smile to think he was the one who did that. “Okay so see that guy over there?” she whispered conspiratorially pointing to a blond teen about their age. “That’s Geoff,” she told him. “he likes god, like a lot, he saw him or something, he’s really nice but eh... don’t you know; sin in front of him. He doesn’t like that and then you get a lecture and the only way to get him off you back is to go to church with him and he has this tendency to correct the priest so that can be a tad embarrassing and really really long!” “What?” Aden asked laughter bubbling up from his chest, “He corrects the priest?” “Yeah it’s pretty funny, but everyone stares!” “Maybe I should you know give him some space, I'm not really sure what counts as a sin and well I'm not that big on church so definitely gonna stay away.” He told her. “Yeah you’re not the only one Noah and him don’t exactly see eye to eye on the religion thing either.” Belle answered. “Mayhem usually ensues when they’re in a room together. I’d never seen Ric shy away from a fight before Noah and Geoff came to blows.” “Hey Belle?” Aden asked dragging her out of her rant, “Thanks.” he said as she looked at him expectantly. Her face softened and she smiled a genuine smile. “For what?” She asked. “For what you’re doing, for including me the way you have been.” He explained. “Aww Aden.” she whispered leaning in and wrapping her arms around him in a hug before sitting back but with his arm still wrapped around her back. “I like hanging out with you,” she told him “so it’s not a total burden.” “Yeah?” He asked smiling at her position in his arms. “Mmhmm,” she replied. “And you’re pretty comfy to sit on. Now less of the sappiness. Hmm okay see that girl over there, yeah the blonde she’s a total klepto, stole a police car and practically got away with it except there was an officer napping in the back of it.” “Wow.” Aden said in awe appreciating the topic and mood change. “Wow is right.” she laughed before pointing out the subject of her next story.

Lustre Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Thanks for the reviews. Enjoy Chapter 5 “Belle, Aden.” Ric greeted as he and Mattie joined them in the common room late that afternoon. They were still in the same position they had been in hours ago. Mattie raised an eyebrow as she spied Aden’s arm wrapped around Belle, but shrugged it off as she merely saw Belle smile. “So what are you guys doing?” “Nothing.” Belle told her best friend. “Just hanging out.” “Belle was explaining all the scandal of the clinic to me .” “Oh yeah? It’s pretty juicy isn’t it but that’s what you get when you lock a bunch of teenagers up together.” Ric told him. “She tell you the good stuff?” Ric asked giving Aden his full attention. “Ladies and Gentlemen my boyfriend the gossip queen.” Mattie claimed loudly. “Ignore her!” Ric commented without looking at her but he hugged her closer to him lovingly. “Well I'm starting to wonder if there’s anyone in this place that isn’t hooking up with someone else, it’s like six degrees of separation only everybody is related purely by who they date and seemingly Drew has dated everyone.” “That’s very true well except you know for Belle , she isn’t getting any.” Ric told him jumping as Belle thrashed her leg out to kick him in the shin. “Oh and neither are you,” he continued, “What are the chances.” “And on that note I'm off.” Belle told them standing up to leave. “I’ll go with you.” Mattie followed her before turning back to Ric. “And I wouldn’t be so sure that they’re the only ones not getting any cause from what I can tell you wont be either any time soon.” “Wait what?” He called after her. “Damn I gotta start thinking before I speak!” he continued to no one in particular. “Hey wanna play some cards?” He asked Aden suddenly. “Yeah sure.” Aden laughed in response. H&A H&A H&A H&A H&A H&A H&A H&A H&A H&A H&A H&A H&A H&A “Hey I meant to ask what happened to your hair? When you left it was long.” Mattie asked out of the blue as she and Belle were hanging out in her room. “I cut it.” Belle answered absentmindedly playing with the short strands as she concentrated on the magazine in front of her. “Yeah I got that.” Mattie responded her voice tinged with sarcasm. “I meant what happened, you loved your long hair?” “Yeah well I got bored.” Belle told her sighing in exasperation when she realised that she had no chance of finishing the article she was reading. When Mattie wanted answers she made sure she got them. “And I think I did a good job, thank you!” Mattie touched Belle’s short hair lightly, looking kind of shocked. “It’s lovely; I just mean you did this yourself?” Pushing herself up into a sitting position she sighed again. “Yeah it’s actually one of the reasons Amanda sent me back here.” “What she didn’t like your new look?” Mattie asked jokingly. Belle laughed with her for a minute before her expression turned sober. “Yeah well she was told to look out for any drastic changes in mood so…” she left it there. “So what? All of a sudden a teenage girl wanting a haircut is reason to lock her up?” Mattie demanded an edge to her voice, she hated that Belle was forced to come back. “My point exactly.” Belle agreed. “Though the pair of scissors I used to cut it may have had an influence on her decision.” “Belle?” Mattie questioned, her voice soft but probing. “Oh come on Mattie lets see this for what it really is. She tried the mom thing, got bored and gave me back.” Belle told her the volume of her voice dropping as she said the last part. “Don’t talk about yourself like that!” Mattie pleaded with her best friend, “Belle…” she began but was interrupted by a knock on the door. “Sorry to interrupt girls,” Dr Armstrong told them as she entered the room. “but Belle Dr Birado tells me you skipped today’s session.” “Sorry Rachel,” Belle responded. “I can head down right now.” She finished hoping to get out of the room and away from her and Mattie’s conversation. “No, don’t worry about it.” Rachel told her. "Its okay to take a break every so often just maybe next time let him know so he’s not waiting around. That being said Mattie we have a session in fifteen minutes which I'm expecting you to be at.” The blond nodded but remained silent, she hated group therapy. “So Belle where were you that made you miss your appointment?” Rachel asked the teen. “Belle and Aden sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G.” Mattie murmured under her breath stopping when Belle punched her lightly on the shoulder, glaring at her. “Fine, fine.” Mattie smiled at her. “I'm gonna head now I’ve gotta make a stop first, we’ll finish our conversation later.” she warned Belle as she exited the room. Rachel turned to Belle with a raised eyebrow. “Aden huh?” “I don’t need a lecture Rachel.” Belle told the young doctor. “Mattie doesn’t know what she’s talking about, we’re just friends.” “Sure you are.” Rachel retorted sceptically. “Rachel.” Belle moaned wanting desperately to end the conversation. “Okay.” Rachel said holding her hands up in mock defence. “But I will say this Belle, its not a good idea to become dependant.” “Says the woman here to give me my highly addictive drugs?” “True.” Rachel observed. “Which reminds me here you go.” she said taking a small baggy from the briefcase she had with her. “Its not good for you to take your meds at differing intervals , so make sure if you miss a session you still go get them. Okay?” Belle nodded hoping to appease Rachel enough for her to leave. “Is this a new combination?” she asked. Rachel nodded grimly. “Let’s hope this dosage works for you.” “Fun!” Belle muttered as she poured the three capsules down her throat hoping they would work this time.
