An: So this is gonna be my last post for about a week cause Im going away but hopefully the 14hrs Ill be spending on planes will compel me to write and maybe finish the story. Sorry that this is another short chapter. Thanks for all the reviews its nice to know people enjoy the story. Hopefully if i have time today i'll get another chapter written and i'll post it before I leave, but it might be short. Anyway enjoy.

Chapter 8

“Movie night.” Mattie shouted as she burst into Belle’s room two days later but stopped abruptly causing Drew and Ric to run into her frozen body as she watched a barely awake Belle and Aden sit up. “Well this is interesting.”

“Hey,” Belle yawned. “what’s up?”

“Well my guess would be ad…” Drew began but was stopped by Mattie slapping a hand over his mouth.

“We just came to tell you that we’re having a movie night tonight.” Mattie informed her, her tone amused. “We decided at breakfast but seeing as you eh… overslept we thought we’d let you know”.

“Okay well thanks guys.” Belle told them waving goodbye as she indicated the door behind them. But no one moved. She sighed before looking back at Aden who was merely smirking. “You’re a great help aren’t you. Guys come on get out; we’ll see you in the common room in a minute.”

“Nah I think I’ll stay.” Mattie told her smiling sweetly. “So when did this happen?”

“Mattieeee.” Belle groaned

“What?” She asked innocently. “as your best friend I feel I should be kept in the loop about whatever this is.” She told her pointing between Aden and Belle. “Don’t you think?”

“You know what,” Aden interrupted. “I think I'm just going to go.”

He stood up pulling his t-shirt over his head and moved towards the door but paused and turned back to Belle moving swiftly he kissed her gently before heading out the door.

The three guests watched his procession before turning shocked faces on their friend.

“Answers now!”

“We need to talk!” She demanded as she stormed into his room. It had been three hours since the awkward wake up call and it had been exhausting trying to sort out all the emotions flying around that room. Now it was time to ascertain how he felt. “I’m going to ask questions and you will answer them truthfully. Got it?”

“Hi Mattie good to see you! Why don’t you come in and make yourself at home?” Aden asked sarcastically.

“That’s not how this is going to work Aden.” she told him slightly exasperated. “I'm going to ask questions and you’ll answer them. Got it?” she repeated.

Aden contemplated another sarcastic answer but didn’t dare use it when he saw the look on the blonds face. “Eh yeah ask away.”

“What’s going on with you and Belle?” She demanded

“Did you guys not talk about this after I left?” He asked but continued when she glared at him. “Eh we’re together.”

“Okay so what you’re her boyfriend now?” She continued.

“Well yeah I guess if that’s what being together means right?” He asked back.

“Do you know how hard it is to be with someone in here?” She questioned her voice taking on a slightly annoyed tone. “The fights- they’re ten times more explosive and they’re usually over the something ten times smaller than would start a normal fight. You can’t date; well not properly I mean what are you going to do bring her out to dinner in the canteen? And do you know how stupid sleeping in her room like that was? What would have happened if that was one of the doctors that walked in and not just us?” She finished her voice raising with every question her, body visibly shaking. She desperately needed someone to understand why she was so worried she knew how difficult being in a relationship in this place was, she only wanted to protect her best friend from more pain.

“Mattie are you okay?” He asked worriedly, “come on sit down.” He said guiding her to the bed.

“I know what you’re saying!” he told her. “I have actually thought about this stuff.”

“Well Belle hasn’t,” she interrupted. “She just thinks its going to work out somehow”

“Well so do I.” he informed her. “Look I get it Mattie you’re her best friend you’re worried but come on you and Ric are together, everyone around here is with someone, so why is Belle and I being together any different? Shouldn’t you be happy for her?”

“I am happy, she responded angrily. “how could you think I'm not?”

“Well you look pretty pissed off.” He replied.

“She is broken Aden!” She shouted at him jumping to her feet. “Don’t you get that? She may seem okay to you but she’s not, she’s here for a reason and … and…” But she couldn’t seem to get the words out.

“Mattie I know she’s here for a reason, just like I'm here for a reason, and trust me I'm not going to hurt her, I couldn’t do that to her.” He tried to explain.

“No one means to hurt her Aden but it always seems to happen and then she regresses and its scary to see her like that. I'm just worried.”

“Mattie I swear I will never do anything to purposely hurt her.” Aden promised and she could see in his face and his eyes and the way he held himself that he truly meant and believed it.

Nodding Mattie turned towards the door at least a little appeased with the situation.

“If you do, I will kill you.” She told him as her parting words closing the door after her.

“And people worry about my homicidal tendencies.” Aden muttered as the door clicked shut behind the blond.

An: I said I'd try to get another update up, so this is what I have, its half the next chapter, a teaser I guess. Enjoy.

Chapter 9a

“Ahh” Belle screamed as she was pulled backwards around a corner but no one heard her as she was muffled by a hand wrapping itself around her mouth. Thrashing her hand out she was met with a solid chest which she continued to thrash at until she felt the person it belonged to shy away from her.

“Ow!” Aden exclaimed rubbing the spot where she had hit him. “What was that for?”

“What was that for?” She demand. “What the hell you just … just... I don’t even know what to call that.”

“Kidnapped,” He supplied for her. “I kidnapped you, seeing as we have already discovered that it's impossible for you to kidnap me I came to the conclusion that it was up to me to kidnap you.”

“Oh of course… what?” She retorted sarcastically confusion marring her face.

“We haven’t been alone in like two days.” He complained. “It’s my only option.”

“Aden it’s been two days all of which I have spent in your company,” She replied amused. “Fair enough others have been present but those are what we call friends, say it with me F-R-I-E-N-D-S.”

“Yeah but I wanna spend time with just you.” He explained pouting like a child whose favourite toy had been taken from him.

“You mean like the previous week and a half.” She laughed enjoying the frown that had formed on his lips. In all honesty she had to give Mattie her dues, after the conversation or lecture should she say that Mattie had given her two weeks ago after having caught them in bed she was surprised at the restraint her friend showed when it came to giving them time alone.

“Yeah but I wanna be alone with you noooow.” He drawled out pulling her against his chest.

“You’re such a child.” She laughed at him.

“Why are you fighting this?” He demanded in mock anger.

“Yeah you’re right why the hell am I fighting this.” And she closed the gap between their lips.

“Mmm winner.” He breathed out as they parted. And she laughed she loved when he was playful like this, she pulled his head down to hers again kissing him soundly.

“So?” She asked as they broke apart when they became desperate for air. “Now that you have me all to yourself what are we going to do?”

“Oh,” Aden answered a little shocked. “I haven’t really thought that far ahead I was really concentrating on the kidnapping aspect of the plan. Eh… any ideas?”

Caught up with the last 3 chapters and this story is still as awesome as ever.

I like how confused Aden is about her moodswings. Although you would think he would be a little more tactful with his guess as to why it is considering where they are.

It was nice that it was Belle who showed up to apologise. Aden's speech about her not being able to get rid of him so easy was really sweet. I love how the scene then went from sweet to funny so quickly.

I can just imagine Ric, Drew, and Mattie's shocked faces when Aden walked back to bed and kissed her.

Loved Mattie's warning to Aden. It's good how concerned she is.

Aden's last line was great. Along with the 'I'll protect you' line from the last chapter.
