bay girl Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Just read that summit are hoping for a November 20 2009 release of New Moon. Thats not even a year away. They're really trying to get cracking with this. Im glad we're getting in quickly, i just hope they dont rush it and ruin it.
KaitieL Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 There's 4 major cinema's in my area. Plus 2 goldclass, so my fingers are crossed that it wont be too bad. lol. But i know its probably going to be insane. Im going by myself too. I dont want anyone sitting next to me, annoying me every second. LOL. We have one here. It's going to be bad, I can just tell. Lucky for me I'm not one to let people peeve me off.
jenlee Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Same, only one cinema here and the movie is released here on Boxing Day so I think the place will be packed. I think I will wait and go sometime after the new years lol
KaitieL Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 Oh... my... GOD!!! I have been turned into an obsessed fan girl. I loved it. Granted that it wasn't perfect and I could list all the flaws, but I'm not going to, I'll just choose to ignore them. Edward. And that's all I'll say. Oh and I'm off to see it again tomorrow night.
Zetti Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 Stop making me jealous I cant watch it till 19th Dec but then I am not watching it till 23rd Dec
Cal Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 Just read that summit are hoping for a November 20 2009 release of New Moon. Thats not even a year away. They're really trying to get cracking with this. Im glad we're getting in quickly, i just hope they dont rush it and ruin it. Summit are a bunch of knobs. Sorry, but they are. They're rushing the production of this movie to make more money. And they don't want Taylor as Jacob in New Moon because they think he doesn't have potential to play a werewolf. We thought our money would help New Moon be much better, but so far it doesn't look like they want to give us something better. They just want to give us something, faster. They could afford to feck up Twilight, but if New Moon isn't good then I'm sure there will be no Eclipse or Breaking Dawn.
Cerise Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 This is gone to the shi.ts. I'm sorry, but it really has. I'm not sure how much money Twilight has at this stage, but it's not good. Sure, it means the movie wasn't a flop, it shows the dedication of the fans no matter how flawed the movie was. It's Twilight, and we had very high expectations, yet we were allowing for the obvious flaws and enjoyed it for a movie based on the story of Twilight and thus it was closer to the book than was expected. It was probably a huge money making scheme. Which is fine, I like money, I want them to make money. But these hundreds of millions Twilight has been raking in isn't doing Summit any good. We have a term for what they're becoming, and it's 'Greedy Gits'. If they truly care about what we want they'd take longer than 11 months to produce, film and edit New Moon. Oh wait, isn't filming not meant to happen until March/April? Oh wait, aren't they meant to be combining the fliming of New Moon/Eclipse? Oh wait, don't they have a new, probably money-greedy no matter how much Summit tries to reasure us, director to employ? 11 months? New Moon is going to be a ****ty film with terrible CGI Wolves, a bad new actor for Jacob, and cheesy hallucinations. Yeah, great. Fantastic.
zzazzb Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 ^^ wow. now ijust can't wait for them to come out... i saw Twilight at the movies yesterday, me and my friends took up a row and a half, 18 of us. but we made a pack to not speak a word during it. All the other girls in the cinema squeed and giggled EVERY time Rob smiled.moved.spoke.BREATHED and i swear one girl started hyperventilating(sp?) damn they were annoying. One of my friends didn't read the book, and she found the movie boring and depressing untill the fight scene, which lasted all of 5 minutes. and they left out heaps in one of my favourite scenes, in the hospital after the fight scene and Bella tries to convince Edward to turn her into a vampire, and he kisses her, and her heartrate moniter goes crazy and Bella and Renee talk about how Edward is "just a crush." that scene didn't go long enough IMO. but i dunno, i thought Alice, Esme, Bella, Emmet, Jessica and Angela and Jacob were great character choices Edward i'm still deciding on, Eric was not at all what i was expecting, Jasper was odd and Charlie just - wierd. the choices could have been worse, but i 'spose it's like that in any book turned movie, what your thinking in your head is not what's on the screne. oh and one more thing. When Edward steps into the sunlight, did anyone think it just looked like he was sweating? i didn't like that at all, i was thinking beams of light, like blinding light. if I saw someone sparking like that i'd either think they were sweaty or someone painted them in glitter glue
teeann_x Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Yep. That was my first reaction when i read it. Everything is about the money. Now the new director whoever it is has to fly to Canada by 15th Dec to begin preproduction. They are totally rushing this. Well, maybe in one way they are scared Rob is gonna get old. And filming back to back of NM and Eclipse means they won't even see how well NM does first. About replacing Taylor as Jacob, as much as I like Taylor I agree that they can find a more suitable actor to play Jacob. Taylor just doesn't suit it imo. I got NM!!! OMG! I can't believe Edward lol. I was crying. That was sooo I'm up to 'Adrenaline' now. I'm quite enjoying it actually even though I don't really like Jacob, and I keep imagining his face in the movie which just doesn't suit his character. But I have to say it is kind of ruining it for me because I've known for ages that Jacob's a werewolf.
bay girl Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 I seen it today, and i love it. I would love to applaud the other people in the cinema watching it too. They were a great bunch who kept their mouths shut and didnt ruin it for me. There was no screaming, squealing or crying. It was friggin awesome. LOL. I wanted peace and quiet and i got it.
