^ I know what you mean. :) I would never have thought Tony and Rachel would get together at some point. I guess that's because Tony still had to get over Beth's death and Rachel was still with Kim. You don't think of their next partners when they are still in a relationship. :)

Don't worry, in Estonia we see Tony and Beth together now. :D It will take so much time to catch up and see Tachel. We have all the mess with Matilda/Lucas/Dean and Jack and Martha are going to brake up. I don't want Beth to die, but I really wanna see Tachel here. :)

And like you Barbara, I wouldn't thought that Tony and Rachel would get together, but I'm glad they did :)

I'm so jealous of you Barbara, I loved when Tachel first got together, all their scenes together were just so awkward and they both had huge smiles on their faces when they saw each other plus Tony played the nerves so well, I felt nervous for him! I guess I have youtube but it's not the same! The quality of the eps back then are pretty bad on youtube :(

It seems to be as if they've just lumped two single characters together, and IMO they don't really have chemistry. I think Tony would work much better if he was going out with someone more his age. After Rachel had been out with Kim, I really doubt she would then see Tony as a love interest.

The above quote was mentioned by EdwardSkylover in Aus discussion and so I thought I'd mention it in here to see what everyone elses thoughts are?

Personally, I never saw Tony and Rachel as being paired together just because they were both single. Despite his flings with Naomi and Jazz, Tony was single for over 7 months before he was put into his first serious relationship which I think was with Rachel. Rachel also had the option of Roman as well so it's not like they were both the only candidates for each other. If you think about it, Rachel and Tony were friends way before they got together, neither was introduced as a character just for the purpose of being cast as a love interest for the other. Even though we didn't get to see much of it, there were mentions of Rachel and Tony helping each other through their respectives losses about 6 months before they had a romantic interest in each other with their movie nights and Rachel supported Tony when Jack was shot. I think the writers built their relationship up beautifully, with them growing closer as friends first and then in a dramatic situation where Rachel was kidnapped by Rev Hall and Tony became her support, that's when they fell in love.

In terms of them having chemistry, that's obviously a personal point of view which can't be changed, some don't see chemistry which is fine, others do like me. They're a very touchy feely couple and I think that makes it so much more realistic.

It's interesting what you said about after having Kim, Rachel shouldn't have been attracted to Tony but I actually think that she wanted Kim to be everything that Tony actually is. She wanted Kim to be more mature which Tony is, she wanted to have a family with Kim and Tony I think is the definition of a family man out of all the characters in H&A at the present. I think the reason Kachel's relationship failed is because ultimately they weren't right for each other and Kim wasn't the husband Rachel wanted and vice versa. I personally feel Rachel's become more grounded since being paired with Tony, I think Kim was her bit of fun but Tony's the sort of man that Rachel should be with in terms of love and marriage and a family.

As much as i loved Kim i really disliked Kim and Rachel. i liked both characters, but together it was just wrong. Kim would always belong to Kit for me , and that was how it ended to.

and i also never saw Tony and Rachel paired together just because they where both single, like you said Rachel had a choice in Roman ( something i can not imagine) . but i must admit i was not really keen on the idea at the start. I loved Tony at the time, and i didnt like Rachel that much, but it suprised me how well they really did work together, and after their first kiss i had completly changed my mind.

It was the same to me, that I loved Kim and Rachel as a single characters, but as a couple they didn't work for me. Or I should say, they don't work for me, because I see them every day. Kim and Kit are right for each other.

I wouldn't imagine that Tony and Rachel will be together, they were so good friends and it seemed like they love each other very much as friends. But I agree with you Charmed, that they built it up very beautifully. It was so realistic, Amy and Jon acted amazingly. Oh, and I can't see why people are bothered with the age difference. What does age say? It's just a number, really. :D Tony was great with Beth, but I don't think no one else deserves Tony but Rachel. They were always there for each other and I think it's so right them to be together :)

Tony and Rachel are just meant to be together! At first I wasn't too keen on the pairing but as their relationship developed I was just like 'awww'!

I loved Kim & Rachel! In real life, I wouldn't be soo keen because in that age difference, the woman was nearly 10 years older than the man and thats just something I wouldn't do. But I think on the show no one really saw Kim as 19, did they? I mean if I had never watched home and away before and just sat down one day and saw the two of them together you would have never guessed she was a good bit older than him. Kim has got to be the most unrealistic 19 year old I have ever seen on tv! :P

I was heartbroken when Kim left her for Kit! But in the end I suppose I was happy because in return we got Tachel. :)

I think Rachel and Tony's relationship is probably the most realistic on the show. They were friends for a good few years and supported each other through some tough times and that happened to lead to a relationship. That's what happens in real life. It wasn't a sudden thing that came out of nowhere.

Since being with Rachel Tony is like a whole new man and she's brought out this wonderful side to him we'd never seen before. They mesh well together and i think he's just what she needs. She's a lot more mellow and relaxed now. I think with Kim there was always the constant worry of Kit hanging over her and i think that's what drove her to try so hard have a family with Kim, so in a sense she could keep him.

I think it's pretty obvious they're madly in love and not just together for the sake of it. Rachel actually did consider leaving Kim over the baby issue but with Tony that wasn't an option for her, which i think says a lot.

I think Tachel have plenty of chemistry. Amy and Jon are great actros and play the couple thing so well. They're so sweet and affectionate towards each other pretty much every scene they have together.

Laura you said it perfectly so i don't really have anything left to say, for once!:D
