halcyon06 Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 ^Ironically, I think the only person Rachel's really given unnecessary advice to is Tony.Normally, it's a case of her giving advice to someone like Aden or Miles who's deliberately sought her out for advice or told her about a problem and she's given her opinion, or her going to see someone like Belle when she was on drugs who's not dealing with their problems and offered to help. But with Tony she often crosses the line into badgering him because she thinks his way of dealing with things is wrong and he needs to do it her way. I have to say I agree completely with you. I think that sometimes she goes a bit overboard with Tony. Quote

KirstyEkua Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 I felt sorry for both of them on Friday and at the same time annoyed by them I was a real shame for Tony when he ran into the house saying they still had time to go and Rachel was all mad. But it was kinda funny, she's good when she gets all angry. And yeah we can blame it on the pregnancy hormones But i can see why she acted the way she did, Tony's behaviour with Angelo is not normal. I thought there was some terrible script writing with Rachel's 'thank you for coming.' That is not something you say to your husband After that though i liked that little scene. She looked really mad then hurt when he said he wanted to go fishing with Angelo and im glad he finally decided to put her first. I think he is genuinly trying to deal with Angelo in what he thinks is the best way, but it showed on Friday that he is excited about the baby and is thinking about Rachel. I feel sorry for her too, a few times she's been wanting to spend time with him 'when it's just the two of is' and he's wanting to go fishing with his son's killer Poor Rach, it's a crazy situation...lolol! Merli Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Kirsty, I agree with you that Rach is good when she gets angry. Amy is such a good actress ! It was good that Tony changed his plans and promised to go to picnic with Rachel. I hope he really does and we can see it. It shows us that Tony cares and we haven't lost him ! Quote

I thought the same thing when I saw that scene. They really do need to get some of these smaller details right. It's this kind of thing that doesn't endear couples to the audience. If I was Rachel at the moment I would be seriously annoyed with Tony. He is barely paying her any attention and it seems like she is making all the effort. It was clear how much she wanted to spend time with him, as any normal wife would, and even though he did say he would postpone the fishing you could see that he wasn't thrilled about it. Quote

Totally agree with you Karen. I think if people had switched on to H&A and saw that scene for the first time they wouldn't have known they were married, just because of the dialogue at the start of that scene. It was weird....as well as "I'm really glad you're making progress with Angelo" You just don't talk to your husband like that...I've noticed it a lot in other couples to. I feel sorry for Rachel just because this issue of Tony not paying her any attention has been going back and forth ever since Jack died. There have been times when he sorted himself out, around the wedding etc then Angelo came back and it set him back again. She's constantly having to ask Tony to spend time with her and even though he's realised he's been abandoning her, like when he agreed to cancel the fishing to spend time with her, his first thought was "you SHOULD be my priority" and then he quickly changed it to "you ARE my priority." It just shows how consumed he is by Angelo at the minute that he's not thinking about anything else. I can understand that people might be initially irritated by Rachel when she talks about the baby but if you think about it logically, she shouldn't have to ask him to do this sort of stuff, it should be something he wants to do. I do truly do believe that he will sort himself out though once Rachel's hospitalisation happensand go back to being how he was before Jack died. You only have to watch the scenes where he found out about the baby and went to the ultrasound to realise how excited he is about being a Dad again, he's just being so consumed at the minute that it's not showing. adellejefferiesxox Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 achel are one of the happiest couples in HAA. Every other couple seem to have drama after drama. Disucssion continued from the Tachek spoilers, I think when couples go into the spot light and are popular with fans the couples drift towards drama. So I think once Belle dies, as there will be no "adelle" Tachel might be forced into the spotlight. I don't know if there will be constant fluff for that couple, I was reading the article from this weeks Tv week and it says since Tony misses the birth will their marriage last, apparently he gets arrested I'll be praying they'll sepearte. grumble bum Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 It is plan that Tony is at breaking point. First the mother of his two sons is murdered. Then Beth is killed in a car accident, then Jack is brutally gunned down by a fellow cop. Finding his sons body like that would be extremely hard for any one to recover from. Just as he is trying to move on, his sons killer returns to the Bay. Rachel should of referred Tony to counsellors that under stand the pain that he is feeling. Others that have lost children in similar curcimstances. If Rachel gives birth on Jack's birthday, Tony might find it even harder to move on. I only hope that Rachel does not blame Tony for what is happening to the baby. Quote
