I would have been too. Or a child who has been living with their father all the time, could be a secret that Roo is keeping for herself, and then suddenly something happens and the secret is revealed. Could have been great for both Roo and Alf.

Wasn't Roo heavily career-orientated when she went out to the States? Perhaps she found out late in the pregnancy that her partner was cheating on her and she wasn't willing to give up everything to be a mother and partner to someone unfaithful...especially if she thought it would affect her career. Roo would be too ashamed to tell anyone she has this child. It would also pay homage/be reminiscent to her aunt Morag giving up her child in favour of her career.

They could bring back Morag to kickstart the storyline. Picture this, Morag comes back to commemorate 25 years of Bobby's death. Roo goes with her to her grave; Morag breaks down and says how much she regrets not having anything to do with Bobby in the 5 years after she found out she was her child. She says 'it's the biggest regret of my life'. Roo looks suitably uncomfortable and distressed, she goes home and pulls a teddy bear out of the cupboard, looks at it, and sobs. A few days later she tells her family that she has a daughter/son in the states she gave up and it's time to get in contact.

I loved Martha, her and Jack together I wish they got the happy ending they deserved like instead of him dying they left to travel or he quit the Police force and they left so she could go for treatment or to see Lucas or Sally.
