it fine, im glad i can get so many peoples opinions.

its funny how we take to people (characters in this case) so differently, and i like it that it can be discussed on here

no offence taken x

I am kind of annoyed the writers have her going after Bridget on the morning after Jack's murder. I know they need to finish the story but they could have left it until at least after the funeral. You'd think all she'd want is to be with Tony right now, but instead she's cracking down on Bridget and at work.

Her working is bugging me to. In real life there's no way she would have been expected to stay and work the shift after what happened to Jack (or even be the one to pronounce him dead) And then, they have her going home in the morning, having a break down, going to see Leah and then she's back at work, all in the same day! Gah

Although i did like her talking to Leah about it, saying she just wanted to take his pain away :( I guess we all deal with grief differently and Rach's way of dealing with things has always been her work. But, this time Tony needs her.....ah wrtiers!

I know what you mean Kirsty, it really frustrated me. I'm not sure if it's meant to be a few days later because Alf apologised to Rachel in yesterdays episode for what he said "the other day." He said it to her the night Jack died.

I did like seeing her defend her family in today's episode though and she mentioned how Tony's thrown himself into organising the funeral so I guess there's not much she could be doing at home but sitting there watching him. I like how they're staying with Martha at the minute, I think that's sweet.

writiers has stuffed it up however people greive differently and I know plenty of examples of those who burry themselves in their work to do that and who knows, she may of had Tony's blessing

And from the funeral scean onwards we will have more Tachel storylines

I cant wait for the Wedding seane though - going to be great

Wow she really was incredible tonight. It must be so hard as an actress/actor to have to do a scene where the second the director says action you just have to cry on scene with no emotional dialogue to build up to it. I give full credit to her and I'm really pleased the writers made her an integral part of today's episode, her acting is just phenomonal. The scene of her outside on the porch was just so beautiful, I think she was trying to compose herself so she could support Tony.

I'll post all my thoughts on the Tachel part of the episode in the Tachel thread so will just stick to the Rachel parts. I thought it was lovely how she was the one to cover him up (I'm sure Tony and Martha would be pleased that it was her to do it and not some stranger) and she showed her struggle with trying to be professional yet being devestated herself and trying to support her fiancee. She can communicate so much with just her eyes, the way in which when she declared that she couldn't pronounce him dead and would get someone else and walked out to Tony letting him know he was definetely gone. It was heartbreaking and she really showed her strength as a character and actress. Would love to see Amy get a Best Actress Logie this year, she truly deserved it. Whatever people's thought are on Rachel as a character, I don't think anyone can deny her acting tonight was top standard.

Im a fan of Amys and of her character - Rachel has her flaws but everyone does so it make the character real and amy pulls it off brilliantly

I wasnt sure about Tachel relationship but it works well because the actors bounce of each other so well (and they both can act! :D)

I agree totally - but how cool would it be if we get the Tachel logie double

I really think Amy deserves at least a nomination for a Logie. Im not fromAus so im not exactly sure how they work but im pretty certain theres a best 'actress' award. If it goes purely on acting and not popularity then I really think that Amy should get it. Although Im pretty sure Jess Tovey will be in the running who thinks that Amy should also be up for the award? Saying that Jodi has also had a very strong year so it should be tough. Im pretty sure they wont have any more than two h and a characters in every cat. lets all route for amy though.

I know we're biased but Amy really is a great actress. Even before i became a fan of her's i always liked her performances and i am really impressed with her crying scenes - she does it a lot more realistically than other actors on the show.

The little faces she makes are just fantastic, especially with Bridget, you can see the hate in her eyes.

And when she was with Jack, putting the sheet over him she looked genuinly heartbroken. Her breaking down scene was really well done too, you could tell how hard she was trying to compose herself and be strong but she just couldn't.

I liked they made her do that - Rachel has always been seen as this amazingly strong woman, which is fantastic, but i think her breaking down like that showed just how much she was hurting becasue of Tony being in so much pain and how desperate she felt that she can't do anything to help him.

I loved her little scene with Leah where she said she just wished she could take his pain away :(

I really liked Rachel with Bridgett yesterday. I liked how Rachel refused to feel sorry for her. Or the way Rachel caught her by her arm when Bridgett was leaving the house. I much prefer Rcahel when she's like this. Although I do having a feeling that this plan of Rachel's is going to backfire on her. I hope it doesn't though. And I'm looking forward to Rachel keeping an eye on Bridgett. Hope we get more scenes like in yesterdays episode.
