I love the little bump :)

What's really sad about Rachel's situation at the minute if she's really trying to do the right thing by other people but maybe not going about it the best way. She tried to tell Alf in private and he chucked her out of the Surf Club so he can't really blame her for the way she had to tell him. Anyway she didn't tell him, she forced Bridget to tell him. If she was truly interested in the "glory" of finding it out, she'd have told him the minute she found out, not allow herself to get blackmailed in order to spare his feelings. It must be awful to have to keep a secret like that, not knowing what the best thing to do is.

I do feel for her to for tomorrow's episode. Even though I'm not blaming Tony (he can pretty much get away with anything at the minute because I know his feelings are just because he's grieving over Jack) it would be really hurtful for Rachel to hear that. I wont comment much on it until I've seen the whole episode but I'm looking forward to hopefully getting a lovely make-up scene. I'm just glad they're talking. (Sorry this should probably be in the Tony and Rachel thread)

Just getting the ball rolling in here on the negative, since I've been chased out of Aus Discussion once again. I think Rachel's being self-centered as usual, and she only wants to "help" Tony so that she gets to be the perfect hero who gets to cure him of his grief by giving him a new baby so that he can forget all about Jack and focus entirely on her and her baby.

She's been selfish. I know she's excited because she's pregnant and it's all she's ever wanted. But Jack's only been dead for what, two weeks at the most. She used to be a psychologist or whatever so she should have an idea on how Tony's feeling. She was in his face about the ultrasound and wouldn't shut up about it. It was like he should forget Jack and focus on this baby because that's all that matters.

I really don't think that Rachel being pregnant will overshadow Tony grieving for his Son and Best mate,Rachel was really good friends with Jack too. Ok,Tony is really down in the dumps about it and isn't really letting Rachel talk to him about anything + he has to deal with Hugo and Xavier coming back too.I think that she just wants the old Tony back, and she also knows that theres only so much that she can do on her own (ie Roman needs to give him the kick up the backside he needs).

Rachel is trying to do the best for both her, "peanut" and Tony. it's just a matter of he's just continuing to push her away. So Rachel is (in my opinion) far from self centred, and we saw that just last night (which trying to do what she thought was right with the whole Bridget saga).

I think Rachel is trying maybe not succeeding to give Tony some hope. I know that when my brother died, my family kept trying to push me towards positive things so I can move on from his death, I dont believe Rachel is being all possesive about her baby and trying to dishonour Jack's memory, from what I can see, Jack's death has hit her hard as well as it has for Tony but she has to be strong because she has a baby to look after as well.

Is Rachel just supposted to forget about her baby and not try to include Tony in her pregnancy? If she did that she'd be called selfish and accused of shutting him out, when perhpas focusing on his new child could be the one positive thing in his life right now.

Perhaps she wants to 'help' Tony becasue she loves him and can't stand seeing him suffer when she knows nothing she can say or do will help? You know maybe it really is that simple. It's not exactly an easy situation for her to be in. I really don't think she cares about being a hero. She's never been like that.

Except for when she just outed Bridget in front of everyone for no other reason that she didn't want Bridget to win against her. She can't have really done it for Alf, or else she never would have humiliated him like that. She was expecting Alf to thank her for telling him the truth, but he rightly told her to get stuffed because the way she did it was incredibly selfish and insensitive. She didn't care about anything but her own satisfaction in taking Bridget down as publicly as possible. Probably some residual jealousy over Bridget sleeping with Tony, too.

I dont honestly think Alf's comment to her was meaningful. He was angry so he reacted how you would when you are angry, I cant see why Rachel should have to justify her actions regarding Bridget when she has time and time again told Bridget to out herself.
