Rachel had plenty of opportunity to tell Alf about Bridget without embarrassing him in front of everyone to make herself look like a saint.She also needs to give Tony time to grieve for the son he just lost.He's hardly gonna be jumping out of his seat in excitement for a child he hasn't laid eyes on yet,not under the circumstances.

I despise Belle because she got away with cheating on my beloved Angelo then took the moral highground over it.She's still better then Rachel.Just.

She tried to tell Alf but he wouldn't listen to her. Then Jack died, so really she didn't have the chance to tell him. She tried to get Bridget to leave without Alf having to find out the truth but Bridget refused and left Rachel no choice.

I agree she needs to give him time but anyone can see she is worried about him and just wants to help him through this. He was the one who insisted he'd be at the ultrasound, she didnt force that on him. She doesn't expect him to be excited about the baby, but maybe she thinks that it'll be something positive to concentrate on.

What about Rachel's feelings in all of this? She's pregnant, she can't just pretend it's not happenig. She's hurting for all the pain Tony is going through and knowing there's nothing she can do to help him.

Well it wasn't all 'me, me, me' when she was kidnapped by Aden. She didn't once complain about missing her wedding - she just wanted to help Aden. But everyone likes to forget that.

The guy she is in love with is going through a tragic ordeal and there's nothing she can do to help. It's not easy for her but she's trying to be there for him. And she's pregnant. Crazy hormones and emotions.

I don’t particularly like Rachel and have to agree with some of the previous posts that portray her as selfish, self-centred and totally into herself however (I can’t believe I’m saying this) objectively speaking I don’t think she’s entirely like this. I remember how she went out of her way to help Reverend Hall when he tied her up and she would have invariable ended up the same way as some of his previous victims. And I personally couldn’t understand why so many people were so annoyed with her during the whole kidnapping/”breakdown” thing. Aden had just committed two very serious crimes so it was understandable that she felt traumatised initially by the whole thing as she was one of his victims. Furthermore she was the one who talked Roman into letting Aden stay with him in the first place. Initially he was very reluctant.

Oh and I disagree with the comment regarding Dani. Letting your sister date your rapist so she could be happy is hardly what I would call selfish.

This thread has got so much more interesting all of a sudden!

One thing I disliked about the whole Rachel-Bridget thing was the reveal. She wouldn't tell Alf because Jack just died, but she told him anyway... in front of others... just after VJ was returned to Leah after being abducted. It was a time of joy [VJ-wise], yet she managed to mar it by being completely irrational. She could have said she wanted to talk to Alf alone outside or something.

Rachel did blame Aden for what happened. She blamed him for stuffing up her relationship with Tony. And, if I recall correctly, she wanted Aden to go to jail for it. Not that I blame her, Aden stuffed up a lot of things over what he did. And I know she took what she said back, but she did say it.

I'm sorry to say that I'm slipping back into the dark side. But with all the goings on, I find it hard not to dislike her.

With the Alf thing, yes, I agree, she could've pulled him aside, but that's the gift of hindsight. She'd tried so hard to keep it all a secret and she just snapped. Like a human under stress.
