Tony didn't just go to the bar to have a few drinks with Alf. He went to clear his head, which is what he also said to Rachel. She seemed fine about him not going if he didn't want to, and then when he didn't, she copped a fit even after she was killed telling him it's OK if he passes. He gave reasons as to why he didn't turn up. I don't remember him saying "I didn't go because I didn't want to...". He's grieving, I think it's OK to pass on a few things when you just lost your son. She could have easily re-scheduled her ultrasound to another date for when Tony was up for it. She will most likely have another ultrasound in a few months time, so it's not like he missed out on some extremely rare opportunity.

Tony did a lot to make Rachel happy. He reversed his vasectomy so they could have a child. I think Tony needs to be cut some slack.

Rachel was also the person who turned to alcohol when her mother died. I don't see how her being pushed away by Tony for a few days is such a crime, as she did something much worse to Brad, Sally and Leah a few years ago.

youre right cal, its not tonys fault either, its just one of those times where tey both need a bit of space to deal with their own stuff i reckon. not like a seperation because i would hate that for tachel but i think tony needs to step back and see rachels point of view and rachel neds to step back and see tonys and then they can move forward together, happier

Cal I dont think Rachel would have reacted the same way she did when her mother died if Kim hadnt been missing as well.

I wouldnt say that she had a "fit" that he didnt go shw was just hurt thats all , which she is allowed to be.

I understand that Tony lost his son and went out to clear his head.Yes he maybe grieving but he told Rachel more or less that he didnt care about theirbaby which was pretty uncalled for .

Yes, but she should know what Tony is feeling. Rachel stayed indoors for weeks, so I think she should understand that Tony doesn't want to play happy families right now. She knows how much this child means to him. He doesn't have to be all smiles to tell her how much he cares.

Tony needs to lean to Rachel for support and not push her away. Fair enough the guy has just lost his son but he should be looking to his wife to be for support which she is really trying to give him.

As for the whole baby scan thing i can understand why Rachel would want Tony there and also see why Tony didnt want to go. The scan came at a bad time in Tonys life but maybe he should have realised that he has a new son/daughter to look forward to and although he/she will never replace Jack he/she will bring him some happiness again.

I hope to see Tachel happy together again soon!

Sorry I probably came across wrong. I wasn't blaming Tony at all, I understand why he reacted the way he did. I think it's a difficult situation for both of them and neither of them are at fault here. With ultrasounds though you can't just reschedule them, especially if it's her 12 week one. The foetus has to be checked at certain stages to make sure there aren't problems with its development.

I think it's such a difficult situation in. The best thing for Tony to do is try to look at the positive things in his life and focus on those to help him through and I think that's what Rachel's trying to do for him.

One thing I disliked about the whole Rachel-Bridget thing was the reveal. She wouldn't tell Alf because Jack just died, but she told him anyway... in front of others... just after VJ was returned to Leah after being abducted. It was a time of joy [VJ-wise], yet she managed to mar it by being completely irrational. She could have said she wanted to talk to Alf alone outside or something.

Rachel did blame Aden for what happened. She blamed him for stuffing up her relationship with Tony. And, if I recall correctly, she wanted Aden to go to jail for it. Not that I blame her, Aden stuffed up a lot of things over what he did. And I know she took what she said back, but she did say it.

I'm sorry to say that I'm slipping back into the dark side. But with all the goings on, I find it hard not to dislike her.

the reason she revealed it the way she did was because alf was about to give bridget the necklace. i dnt think that she purposely set out to humiliate him.

i love rachel, but given how mcuh else she was letting brigit get away with, i don't see why alf giving her the necklace would've made any difference, so it was a bit weird that she went and outed her after trying to keep it quiet

and sexyluc, youre right, rachel had so much else going on than just her mum so its not surprising she acted the way she did. even thogh it was a bit ott, everyone has the right to grieve however is best for them, but tony should realise rachel is trying to be their for him and i really hope he does see that so tachel can havea bit of happiness

^ Probably because it would have cost a ton and Rachel probably thought Bridget would sell it and get the money instead. I don't think she knew Alf was going to follow Bridget to the States either so she had to tell him so he didn't go.

I didn't mean reschedule as in five weeks or anything, just a day or two. I know how important it is, especially now that she's entering her second trimester. I think it'll take time for Tony to start seeing the positive sides of anything. Lucas isn't even there to support him, and he's the closest thing to Jack Tony has.

I know that, but she still did it. I don't believe Rachel was out to humiliate him at all, I just think she wasn't very considerate, especially at a time where everybody is still quite shaken about Jack's death and VJ's abduction.
