People just get me all riled up with their vendettas. I KNOW I should ignore them... As such, I think I'll put my Rachel observations for the night in here. I don't think it was her place to try and get Tony to get rid of his nephews. If she had have said "I'm pregnant, I don't need the stress," yeah, I would have called her selfish - you know I would have, even though that would be a legitimate reason - but I also would have respected her honesty. Instead she tried to manipulate Tony by constantly asking him, "don't YOU want them to go somewhere else?" and no matter how many times he said no, she kept saying the same thing, until she went over Tony's head and told Hugo that they should leave on TONY's behalf... when Tony wasn't the one who had a problem with them! Actually i agree Emmasi. It wasn't really her place at all. But since Tony was clearly upset over the whole champers business, perhaps she feels having a teenager living with them is not what Tony needs right now. Maybe it's not the right thing but i'm sure she has his best interests at heart. I was annoyed at her for that, but i think she's just worried about Tony and doesn't want him under any more pressue. And giving Xavier's behaviour the last time he was in Summer Bay i can see where she is coming from. And Tachel never get the screen time they deserve. So many of their scenes end up cut or edited. I think (and hope) Rachel is more popular than people believe. When i first came here i thought she was really hated, but looking at charatcer polls she's always up there at the top 3. Firstly, emmasi I do agree with you that it wasn't Rachel's place to mention that she was worried Hugo and Xavier would cause disruption to Tony. I think the madness behind her reasoning was that Tony doesn't need to deal with a drug dealing difficult teenager right now whose own mother has palmed him off on her grieving brother and she was genuinely worried about him taking a backslide when he'd only just starting talking and opening up. HOWEVER Tony had mentioned that he was ok with them staying and I think it was a bit rude to say what she did to Hugo even though she had Tony's best interest at heart. Plus I'm quite upset that Hugo is now leaving their house because I really like him (but that's for a different thread) I guess she was proved right in the end, I just didn't like the way she went about it. And I hate that yellow top (off-topic I know) Plus the Miles/Rachel scene, as much as I do like seeing different characters interacting, I thought it was all a bit random. I liked the talk and thought the advice she gave Miles was great and it was a nice little relationship building there, especially after the help Rachel gave Melody before. I just think the way the beginning of the scene was constructed..Rachel checking up on him after Kirsty left him and him nearly falling on her. I don't know if I'm making sense but it was all just a bit...weird to me. yea it was weird the start of it i actually thought what - falling over! maybe if he had spilled his coffee or something but it was'nt good i think that could have been done a little more subtle but like you said charmed the advice was good and it ended up being a nice interaction between the two of them i loved the little tachel moments today - i just hope the champers thing wont send him two steps back as its been nice seing them 'together' Quote

Exactly. Although she didn't go about it the right way, her heart was in the right place. Even Tony acknowldged he loved how concerned she was about him. Having people staying in your house, even if its family, is not always the best thing when you've just lost someone. And, giving Xavier's recent behaviour i don't blame Rachel for being worried. I think also because of what had happened the night before - he was finally starting to talk to her and make some progress, i guess she just didnt want anything to jeprodise that. And Hugo was so sweet with her about it, bless him. I thought it was quite funny today that Rachel stood there gapsing in shock about the champers for ages before Tony noticed!! I believe her first contract was for 2 years but I'm not sure how long her second contract was for or when it runs out. Hopefully it will be extended whenever this one runs out. Kirsty, that last scene was one of Amy's best this week acting wise. The way she was trying to hold back the tears and just watched Tony walk away proved how much it was hurting her to see him hurting like that. I'm amazed no-one heard her gasp like that And even though I don't agree with her telling Hugo she was worried about them staying with her, it seems her concerns were validated as Xavier's actions are clearly going to make Tony takes 100 steps back. Poor guy he's been hurt enough already. Quote
