I hated how harsh everyone was towards her character after the Aden kidnapping her stuff. I'm a huge Aden fan, but I think she handled that situation better than most would. Unfortunately one comment, about how it wasn't a breakdown, and everyone didn't care that it was her, in the end, that kept him out jail. I think she showed alot of kindness, and consideration by talking to the physcologist on his behalf. I felt her initial reaction was a very human one. And I don't like how it's always expected of her to have the right answers because of her job.

Exactly :)

I've never found her to be baby obsessed really. I think with Kim it was more to do 'keeping' him as she knew deep down he was falling in love with Kit, and with Tony well i guess she figured she'd found someone she wanted to spend her life with so kids were the next natural step. I didn't like them bringing back Joe and felt it was a really strange storyline to have, and it started and ended so suddenly it didn't make any real sense as to why they did it. But things like like tend to happen with Rachel....she's crusing along fine one day and the next she's stressed and worried about something we didn't know about until seconds before. I can forgive her moaning becasue if i was in her shoes i probably would have tried to to myself by now, it's been a rough ride! But i do like her of late, being happy and fun. Sometimes i think Rachel needs to lean on Tony a bit more and stop trying to be this amazingly strong woman all the time. They have been showing her vunrable side a bit more lately which has been nice. And i'm sure towards the end of her pregnancy that will be even more evident.

But i am so excited for this year and her pregnancy storyline, and of course Rachel's wedding. And the first few months i'm sure we're going to see some amazing stuff from Amy and i'm looking forward to that. We only saw a fraction of her emotion over Joe, and this time it's obviously going to hurt so much more.

I liked it when she was like those morons out there and Tony went to say something to them  when it was Xavier's first day in town that was cute! that kind of showed Rachel's vunerable side as she would have normally just let it go and not bother but she told Tony and he went to sort it out.

Rachel has been baby obsessed, from the moment she got with Kim. Towards the end of her relationship with Kim, the baby obsession became an excuse to hold on to Kim but she has been baby obsessed. She jumps in and literally at first makes Tony comply with what she wants, now I have reason to doubt Tony's desire to be a father but when they first started 'trying' it was really hard to believe that Tony actually wanted a baby, to me it seems like Rachel was forcing her desires onto him.

When Rachel was kidnapped she reacted with Aden like a pyschiatrist IMO and while the kidnapping must have been a trauma she after a while must have at least tried to see where Aden was coming from? She was traumatised and I dont blame her, I would have been if I was in that position but maybe a bit more consideration is needed considering Aden's obvious tension with his father.

I thought that scene was so cute, Tony getting all protective over her  It was a shame they didn't focus much on Tony's reaction to realising Xavier was the one who pulled the prank on Rachel, when she said "you nearly pashed your auntie," Tony's reaction was funny but it was a sort of blink and you miss it moment.

I don't think Rachel has ever been baby obsessed as such. I do wish they hadn't have focused on it so much because it can get tiring to watch after a while but when women get to the point where they want children and are having difficulties it can become a life consuming desire. Her first husband said she needed to wait 10 years then after they found a compromise he was told he would never have children. Then she sees him have a family with another woman, the one thing she wants more than anything. She then watches her husband walk out of her life with a child and new girlfriend despite him telling her he didn't want the responsibility of a family yet...it must have felt like rejection to her. Unfortunately we never saw Rachel and Tony's first children conversation so it's difficult to say whether she pushed Tony into it or not. For all we know, he could have brought up the subject of children. However I've always had the impression that he wants more children, he mentions a lot how much he misses having Lucas at home and his kids are clearly the most important things in his life.He must have known how much Rachel wanted children, he did live in the same house as Kit so I'm sure would have heard about her and Kim's problems in that department.

I think the fact that Rachel was willing to sacrifice the possibility of having children so she could be with Tony showed how as much as she wants to be a Mum, its not the be all and end all if they're her own biological kids. She never once considered leaving Tony when he told her about his complications.

Zetti - I think she did understand after a while hence why she changed her statement and kept him out of prison. But that whole Aden mess was written badly I think and not enough focus was given to her reaction afterwards because the Bridget stuff took over. There was a scene described in a UK magazine mentioning Tony and Rachel talking. Apparently Rachel was saying that she wanted to go and see Aden because she was beginning to understand why he did what he did. It must have got edited out which is a real shame because I think it would have redeemed Rachel for her actions. She obviously let her heart lead over her mind and couldn't think or act objectively.

Tony has proved how much he wants a baby in the recent episode's , i don't think he was ever unsure about having a child with Rachel but about actually conceiving one due to the vesectomy reversal.

Rachel was completely understanding when Aden kidnapped her , and IMO stopped him from being put away.

I know Tony has proven his desires now, its kind of cute to watch, I wasnt putting Rachel down for being baby obsessed I mean my auntie is kind of the same.

Regarding my comment about Aden and Rachel, it now seems a bit rude and I want to apologise for that.

I loved seeing Tony get all excited about the baby and I was sooo happy when he said "I want this baby just as much as you" before she told him she was pregnant. With Rachel I have definetely seen women become more desperate to have children than her but I think if they'd had a scene where maybe her and Tony sat down and she discussed how much having children meant to her, like the first time the subject was brought up which we never saw, people might have been able to sympathise with her a bit more. Maybe it's because I'm such a maternal person myself that I'm able to see her situation

Don't apologise at all! Everyone is entitled to an opinion and they're only characters so I certainly wasn't insulted in the slightest. I think it's the norm to expect Rachel to forgive her attackers (seeing as she has so many) seeing as how she so easily forgave Rev Hall and Charlie etc. I came to the conclusion that the reason she reacted so angrily this time was because he'd hurt Tony as well whereas before it was just her being hurt. When she heard the news about Tony leaving town thinking she'd left him, I think that was the turning point when she started to become desperate to leave. She thought he was out there looking for her and probably believed hed find her and save her yet found out he'd left town and believed she'd run away from him so all hope was gone!

I dont necessarily think Aden was an attacker, he didnt do it maliciously I dont think, maybe attacker is the wrong word word to use, I am glad I didnt offend you or anyone else.

Yer it was the wrong word to use sorry, he didn't intend to hurt her or for her to even be involved. I like Aden, I think he's one of if not the 'deepest' teenage character they've had on the show. He's also an amazing actor so it was good to have him, Amy and Jess doing those scenes together, it was pretty powerful stuff!

Charlene I agree with you. She just cared that Tony had got hurt which is why she was harsher on him at first than in the past. But she eventually realised that she was letting her feelings get in the way. Then again I think as a 'victim' or whatever you wanna call her she shouldn't have been asked for her professional opinion at all. It's clear that she couldn't be objective.
