Is there anyone else who can't stand Aden? I hate him beyond belief. He always has to be the centre of attention and flies off the handle so easily. I know that's just his character but I think it's unrealistic that there aren't more people in the Bay that dislike him.

The last straw was when he shut the door on Irene recently in Oz.

I know he's just lost his wife, but that doesn't give him warrant to do what he likes. He hated him even more when Hugo tried to help him out and he was like "well, I'm not your mate".

Basta**.

I understand where you're coming from but i'm really not gonna judge him because his wife just died.

Apart from that, to me he's not such an interesting character despite his "big storylines" he's really not my type. :(

Yeah I agree.

I have never really taken to Aden and warmed to him at all. Sometimes he just really grates on my nerves with his moody behaviour. Fair enough his wifes died but really thats no excuse to be horrible to people and selfish. How does he think Irene feels , Belle was like a daughter to her who shes known for almost 4 years and he just slams the door in her face.

I liked him when he was working through all his issues with Belle, but now that that part of the storyline is over, I think he has gone backwards. I understand his wife died, but would she really want him to undo all the hard work he has done? And slamming the door in someone's face is wrong, no matter how much pain he is going through. Irene has known Belle for much longer than Aden, so she will be going through a lot of pain as well, and she is still making an effort to reach out and help him, and that's how he repays her.

Are ye all mad he is the most talented actor in the bay. Aden is after losing the love of his life he is never going to be his old self again, they are portraying the old aden again to show how much belle changed him it is very well done if anything we need more aden clips

I just remember something people were saying how Belle was the first person Aden ever told about his abuse. Well didn't he tell the lady who gave him his HIV results? Or did she just guess? Because if Aden told the lady, then it means Belle wasn't the first person he told about the abuse. But Belle would have been the first person he trusted with the information knowing if she told someone about it, she wouldn't be breaking the law.

Yeh, I think he told the Lady about the abuse but only because he new that she couldn't tell anyone without breaking the law, but Belle was the only person he told because he trusted her enough. But saying that, what about Roman? I'm pretty sure that he new about the abuse but Aden didn't tell him. Rachel was a doctor as well so she would have been bound by the law, unless Aden's dad told him?

^Other than medical people, the first person Aden told personally, out of trust, and because he wanted to share his past with them, was Belle. The doctor he went to see about the HIV test probably wasn't out of choice. He was visibly shaken up during that ordeal, and she probably suscepted anyway, before he confided. Also Rachel too suspected something was up, which led to Larry (along with Aden) confiding in her at the hospital. Again it wasn't actually Aden that confided everything, even though we don't see the entire scene, it's Larry who starts to recall the past.

As for Roman, he also works it out by himself, he was never told anything by Aden. Rachel later confirms it to him in a scene at the Diner, when she asks him to take Aden into his home. :) And I assume Morag also finds out secondhand from Roman. She was living with Roman at the time, and would have been filled in on everything. She also had suspected something more behind Aden's angy young man act at the time anyway, from his hatred of his grandad & the army.

I couldn't help crying watching the last few episodes Aden's been in!!

When he broke down crying in Martha's arms...that's when the tears came pouring down from my eyes!

How he can even wake up every morning and try live life as normal, when he's lost his reason for living??

it's incredible.

and then in the next episode when he climbed in Belle's open window and sat in on her bed!!

The crying...omg..!!

it was such a sweet, subtle tribute to adelle, leaving the window open like that!

it was belle's final wish!! nice that her wish was kept!!

and then the music...it was the same music playing in the background as it was from when belle died!!

i just couldn't stop crying!!

anything to do with aden's heart breaking over belle keeps opening up my tear ducts!! :P

Wish Jess hadn't left!!

I miss her and Adelle SO much!! :(

xxxxx

Surprisingly enough his recent scenes with Geoff didn't annoy me as much as I expected it to. But I am dissappointed about what it meant for his grief storyline. I think this episode would have worked better somewhere down the line rather then now.

I don't like the way they seem to have gone from one extreme to the other in no time with him. I had a feeling it would happen this way from the way they were writing his grief but I was hoping I would be wrong.

I liked his recent scene with Martha on the farm. I was worried that they'd have that scene and then he would suddenly be better. And I was pleasantly surprised when they showed him taking small steps in atleast making an effort but at the same time not going too far with it just yet. It made those scenes alot better to watch. And I was glad to see him feeling a little better.

His playful scenes with Geoff didn't have that same effect. The only thing it had going for it was that there were a few funny lines. It was difficult to buy into Aden feeling the way he was and the things he was saying about his life now that Belle is gone and then suddenly one neath death experience and he is grinning and coming out with joke after joke. I think one playful moment where he smiled and made a joke would have been enough. It would have been good to see him be able to see the humor in something even with all he his going through but still kept it believable. Not to mention it also felt like nothing more then a weak (and obvious) attempt to create some sort of friendship between the two characters because with Belle being gone Aden is going to need more people to interact with.

Looking back now, I quite like how they handled his grief/anger/grieving moments. At first, I was like "oh for crying out loud" when they kept showing scenes of him slamming doors in peoples' faces, but, from the "viewed" angle now, you can see it building up to that moment when he breaks down on Martha's farm. Even the way he crumpled Belle's letter, and burned all the gifts - because I wouldn't have expected that, thinking he'd want to hold tight to every reminder of her.

Then, the way Geoff glanced in to see him asleep in Belle's bed, and broached it with Irene, and irene knew already - and in yesterday's episode where Irene said "stay for dinner ... and the night" ... it was a nice way ot let him know they knew - and, after his hesitation, his acceptance of "one more night" worked for me too. I think this leads the way well to

irene redecorating the room. it's like he's done his grieving in there now.

Overall... yep I'm glad with how they handled the storyline. Enjoyed his fracus with Geoff yesterday - and the little "we kissed and made up" had me giggling. Looking forawrd to their 'friendship' developing.
