I do miss Alf, tuning in to H&A without him is strange - I did wonder whether TPTB will have him return with 'someone', I would love to see a decent Alf storyline, and maybe see him with a love interest

If they give Alf a new love interest the producers need to come up with a character who is Alf's 'type'. Someone with similar attributes to Ailsa who was head strong (mostly) and wore the trousers pretty much.

Just watched the video of Alf's return to the Bay..

Seems he'll come home to a really changed Bay than he left.

Hey, maybe he's the one to find out about Charlie and Brax first? Since he don't really know anything about it.

Hope there will be some changes to around the River boys now that "the Boss" is back in town..

There are so many opportunities so I think he has some uses!!!

He could be diagnosed with a serious illness - perhaps he is diagnosed with Alzheimer's and it could be a long-running storyline like Mark Fowler's HIV in EastEnders.

Ray is a fantastic actor and he needs something to really get his teeth into.

How about bring in Debra Stewart.

Alf Stewart is an iconic and one of the most popular characters ever.. After 25 years of being in the show, I'm a bit surprised Alf hasn't had a storyline of his own for a long time.

I do not remember a mention of Debra Stewart even in the early days. I knew about Morag, Celia and Barbara but when has Debra actually been mentioned?

She was shown in the flashback from Alf's childhood in 2010, also mentioned by Celia In 1988.
