Thanks for the extra chappie mate, I wasn't expecting two updates. It really is interesting the way this has started, so different as others have said. The abuse scene was repulsive. Not a criticism of your writing btw as you wrote it well, just that it was really disturbing.

Wow, that last chapter was intense! I loved the argument between Roman and Aden and the the description of Aden sleeping on the beach! I wonder what will happen now!

Chapter four

Aden reeled back as she stood up due to the shock of being awoken suddenly from her sleep. They stood in silence as Belle brushed herself down, embarrassed about being found asleep on the floor.

Belle squinted her eyes after seeing something reflected against the moonlight. She then realized he had been crying.

“Hey... Are you Ok?” She asked softly stepping forward so they were inches apart. Aden was trying to avoid her eye contact, but by the sudden closeness he was forced to look in her eyes.

Another tear feel down his face, unable to stop it. Before Aden had a chance to wipe it away, he felt her hand raise to his face. She gently placed it on his cheek and wiped the tear with her thumb, allowing the hand to linger there.

“What’s up?” She asked, again gently stepping closer.

Aden looked down at her hand which was placed softly on his cheek. No one had ever touched him in such a soft, caring way. He never had anyone to love him, he always felt alone. He had no one to trust, no one to love him. Everyone who is was suppose to feel safe with hurt him in some way or another. His dad, His grandfather...

As his thoughts wondered, a felt another tear fall down his face, on the cheek which she wasn’t touching. She then placed her other hand in the same way on that cheek, and wiped away the tear again letting her hand linger there.

She stepped a little closer, this time meaning they were inches apart and he looked in her eyes before realizing he was beginning to let her in. He had never done that, and did plan to start now. Instead, he shook her hands of his face a little more roughly than he had intended. She stepped back realizing she may have been a little bit upfront and had over stepped the mark.

“I.. I’m just.gunna....” Aden said trailing of at the end and indicating he was going to leave.

As he turned, he felt her hand wrap around his wrist, pulling him back. He looked down at the point they were touching and then back up to her, ready to argue.

“You don’t have to go!” She said urgently

“Do you wanna talk about it?” She said, this time more gently, yet still persistent.

“No I don’t want to talk to a stupid dirty hobo!” He shouted, deciding the best way to get her to leave him alone was to hurt her. Before he could get hurt himself.

Belle stood there shocked by the outburst and his change from sad to angry. She then saw another tear fall down his face and her heart broke realizing he was just upset.

Her hand was still wrapped around his wrist, he hadn’t pulled away when he had shouted at her and she took that as a good thing.

“Ok,ok” She said gently “ You don’t want to talk, I get it.”

Again Aden made a move to leave only to be pulled back once again.

“Your obviously here because you want to be alone” She said noting the annoyance on his face when she had pulled him back “It’s yours. I’ll find out where else” she stated. Her hand still on his wrist, she bent down and picked up her rucksack. She held onto him as she walked past and gently let his hand drop when he became too far out of reach.

Aden watched her go until she was out of view. He sat down on the sand; his knee’s pulled tightly up to his chest, and let tears fall freely down his face.
