Chapter 14

It was a lovely cool morning when Belle awoke to see the left side of the bed empty. "Aden?" Belle called out curiously. It was only six in the morning. The bathroom door was opened with no one inside. "Boo" Aden threw his arms around her waist. Belle jumped slightly "You're such an idiot you know that right?" Belle turned around, his arms still tightly wrapped around her waist. "You love it" Aden smiled then kissed her gently on the left side of her cheek. "Right…why are you up so early anyway?" Belle questioned him looking slightly confused at him. "I couldn't sleep….I'm nervous about today… but also excited….i want this to be the best Christmas party we have every thrown….this party is a chance for the kids to really enjoy themselves and have fun" Aden looked at her with a serious face, Belle smiled trying to reassure him everything would be fine. "Aden…I know you want this to be perfect….but you need to stop worrying and get some rest….plus we have Nicole…and you know what she's like….one wild party animal. Trust me the kids are gonna have a blast." Aden accepted what she said and took her right hand and led her back into her bedroom. They were both lying beside each other under the covers smiling at one another. "Belle…? Is Geoff coming as well?" Aden whispered as he closed his eyes. "Yeah sweetheart he is…." She too drifted off to sleep.

{Taylors Pre-school}

"I'm so nervous…I think I'm gonna be sick" Belle said looking out to the front door seeing all the kids lined up with their foster parents. She wanted to make a good impression and brighten the lives of the children who had experienced so much pain in their life.

"Please don't…." Nicole said flicking back her shiny blonde hair with her fake pink glittered nails.

The larger clock's pointer hit the twelve and the little hand hit the nine. It was time to let the children in, Geoff offered as Belle and Aden were already stressed enough. Nicole led the kids into the part room. In the room was 25 small little chairs placed around a miniature party table. Glittered had been sprinkled over the top of the table. Plates, cups and a napkin were placed for each child. "Hello my darlings" Belle raised her voice cheerfully, patting the children on the head very gently. To start with the children sat on the floor in a circle. Belle wanted to start the party off with a few games to lift the spirits of tired and groaning children who had been awoke ever so early. For some children it takes from an hour to an hour and a half to get there. Foster parents are required to wake them early. "Hi there everybody….guess what time is it! It's time to play the animal game! So everybody jump up and prepare to shake some booty!" Aden said excitedly, the children found the word booty funny and laughed as Aden hit his bottom playfully. The music started to play, at first the children didn't know exactly what to do but as soon as Nicole started to dance everyone joined in.

"Wow…someone's a dancing queen!" Belle pointed to Lily smiling in attempt to encourage and boost her confidence. The music stopped. "Okay I want everybody to be a…..lion" The children quickly acted and started to roar like a lion. Nicole was very enthusiastic and got onto the floor kneeling down as if she were a cat, flashing her white pearl teeth at Geoff. He found it amusing that his girlfriend was so energetic. "Well done guys that was excellent…." Belle clapped her hands forcing her biggest smile. The music started to play again. Jessica did a little twist throwing her hands in the air, with a happiness beaming from her face. "Okay…this time…I want you to be…a…..cat!" Aden said whilst glancing at Sean. All the children started purring and meowing. Aden walked over to Sean and asked him "Sean…what are you?" he crouched down beside him so that he was the same height as him. "I'm a CAT!" he said knowing he could pronounce the word correctly this time. "Yes you are a CAT and because you are such a great cat...you get a lollypop" Sean jumped up and down with glee.

"This is so much fun…I feel so alive" Nicole had a whole plate of sugary sweets infront of her.

"Yeah maybe that's because you're on a sugar high Nic" Aden said wittily.

Belle and Geoff laughed with them. Belle looked over to the table where the kids were sitting happily eating their chicken nuggets and hot chips. Some how children always manage to get food all over their faces. Several children had tomato sauce smudged all over the mouth.

"Belle are you alright..." Geoff noticed her face had this special glow.

"Yeah…" she said in a dreamy voice whilst smiling at the children.

"Hello earth to Belle…" Nicole waved her arms vigorously infront of her eyes.

"Yes… I was just thinking…." she continued saying in a dreamy voice.

"About..." Aden cut in.

"What it would be like to have a child of my own" Geoff and Nicole's mouths practically dropped opened. Aden looked shocked but not horrified.

"You want to have a baby?" Nicole asked sounding less hypo.

"Yeah…someday..." Belle looked beside her to see Aden's facial expression. "Oh no what I meant is like in the future….sometime…" she said not wanting her boyfriend to freak out.

"Belle…I think you're going to make an amazing mother…I was just shocked I didn't expect you to say you wanted to have a child of your own…" Aden said calmly.

"What about you….is this something you want..." Belle said quietly so that Nicole and Geoff wouldn't able to hear her. "The truth?" he whispered back. Geoff and Nicole could tell they weren't apart of the conversation anymore. "Yes of course" Belle said looking deeply into his eyes hoping he wouldn't completely rid off the idea. "Since I was a child….I thought it wouldn't even be possible for me to become a father sometimes I still think that way…" Belle was starting to panic "Okay I get it…" she cut in looking away sadly. "But looking at you now….all I can think about is what our child is gonna be like….and I think I can handle being a father…" he said catching Belle's attention. "I know you're going to be a great father Aden, seriously!" she said grabbing his hand lovingly. "Thanks…" he smiled at her. "So does this mean you want to have baby….some day…whenever you're ready..." she said gently not wanting to put any pressure on him. "I'm ready now….when the time is right…it will happen…" Belle jumped in excitedly "So you're saying we can start trying?" Aden smiled again "We can start now if you like..." Nicole managed to hear the last words they had spoken to each other "Eww guys that's gross..." Belle and Aden laughed not caring whether she had heard the entire conversation.
