Chapter 26

Fast forward into the future...

"It's not fair, she should be here" Aden looked at Geoff searching for answers. How could she leave him. Three beatiful children to care for all by himself. Everyday it never got easy. Why did this happen? Who could have predicted this? Geoff and Nicole were happily married with a child of their own. Geoff was lucky he still had his wife around. Aden did not. Maybe he could have done thing differently he asked himself every time he saw similarities in his daughter Hannah. She had brown eyes and brown hair, just like her mother. Aden would take his own life to give back his children their mother. Belle had given up, she couldnt cope any longer. She had left his life for good. Some nights when the children were asleep he would drink himself stupid, and sit up talking to who he thought was Belle. But in reality was a figure of his imagination. It hurt so much, he tried to stay strong for his children. "Where's mummy?" Ty would look at Aden innocently awaiting his respond eagerly. Aden just stared at him trying to withhold tears "She's in heaven Ty". Hannah would took it the hardest she would cry and cry at night before she went to bed demading a bedtime story from her mother "I want mummy!....mummy come back, please....mummy come back" she would sobbed Aden held her in his arms "Its okay, Shhh...everything is going to be okay. Just remember mummy loves you and she's looking down from heaven watching you" He would say conforting his child.

*Flashback - extending from chapter 25*

"So Aden are we doing anything special for Valentine's day?" Belle asked knowing Aden wouldnt give any details away about tomorrow.

"For me to know, and for you to find out love" he winked as they fell asleep into each others arms, before Aden fell asleep he thought to himself. Could life be anymore pefect? Could Belle be anymore perfect? He was looking forward to raising his children with Belle. "Aden" Belle whispered seconds later. "What" he whispered back. "I love you" she whispered again. "Love you too Belle. Love you too" he said quitely eventually falling asleep as he spoke his words.

Here is chapter 27, enjoy! Tell me what you think of it :)

Chapter 27

Belle slept beautifully throughout the night; for once she didn’t toss and turn. For some reason she was able to get a peaceful night sleep. The morning started out like usual, Nicole, Aden, Belle and Geoff sat down at the table and ate their breakfast. Morning sickness was no longer affecting Nicole and Belle. Their mood swings were dying down however occasionally Nicole would lose it. “So boys what have you planned for us girls today?” Nicole asked randomly, the TV was switch on featuring a serious news headline about the turmoil in Afghanistan and Nicole wants to know what Aden and Geoff have planned for them. How selfish Belle thought to herself as she watched the screen, sipping her coffee slowly. When the commercial break started Geoff turned around from facing the TV and looked at Nicole, “Nic, I told you we are not doing anything for Valentine’s Day. It’s an American tradition....do I look American to you?” he asked sarcastically. “You could pull it off” Nicole replied with a smile. “Well, Aden and I are doing something special for Valentine’s Day right?” Belle questioned hoping he was still keen on the whole concept. “Umm...Belle...” Aden whispered. “I don’t really think we should celebrate something that’s American. You know, we already know we love each other. Geoff’s right, there’s no point in celebrating this” he said so quietly so Nicole and Geoff weren’t able to hear him speak. Belle looked unimpressed she always considered him to be a romantic person but in this case he didn’t like the idea of expressing their love through gifts and romantic dinners. “OH MY GOD what about last night you said that you had something planned!” Belle stood up yelling at him. “No...” he said quietly exchanging blank looks at Geoff. “FINE BE THAT WAY YOU JERK” she stormed off, leaving her coffee half full. “Belle’s right, you two are major jerks, who don’t have a clue to win a girls heart” Nicole stood up and left swinging her arms vigorously. “What’s their problem?” Geoff asked Aden with a confused look on his face. “Hormones, Geoff. Hormones!” he patted him on the back with each word. “So is everything set for tonight?” Geoff leaned in closer and looked around for any sign of Belle or Nicole. “Yeah, everything’s good” he whispered in his ear.

“I can’t believe the nerve of those two!” Belle opened her bedroom door with Nicole following the two sat on her bed miserably.

“Yeah exactly, how can they seriously expect us, not to expect something as small as a gift? What idiots” Nicole hit the bed hard releasing her anger.

“I know. I seriously believed that Aden would have at least given me some flowers, but I got nothing. Nothing. What did I get Nicole?” she asked angrily.

“Nothing!!” she replied crossing her arms tightly.

An hour later after complaining and wingding Nicole and Belle skipped downstairs. They both decided to hit the gym to left off some steam. “And where do you think you two are going?” Geoff asked trying to **** her off even more; Aden and Geoff were having fun with the girls. “No of your business, oh and don’t use smart comments like that mister!” Nicole slammed the front door. “Ouch!” Aden said with a giggle. “What time do you think they’ll be back do you reckon?” Geoff asked as Aden passed the remote. “Umm...Hopefully not too late, they’ll be back before dark” Aden said reassuring Geoff that their plans would turn out the way they planned. “Have you got your suit?” Geoff asked as he changed the channel from channel 10 to channel 7.

“Yeah mate, it’s upstairs. The tie is silver, what about yours?”

“Yep mines upstairs hiding, my tie is blue”

“Well, that will definitely bring the colour out in your eyes” Aden commented smartly.

Meanwhile at the gym, Nicole has chosen to run on the treadmill. Belle is punching a bay, pretending its Aden.

“Nicole, don’t you think you’re going a bit fast?” Belle questioned as she punched the bag.

“Not faster enough” She pressed the button to intensify the speed.

“Nic, take it easy, you’re pregnant remember” Belle reminded.

“I don’t feel like it’s faster enough just yet” she pressed the button again doubling the speed.

“Nicole!” Belle shouted.

Nicole slipped and fell on the rotating mat hitting her nose, causing it to bleed. “Nicole” Belle raced over to help her friend. “Just great” Nicole pinched her nose stopping the blood from running. “I told you to slow it down” Belle sat her down at the bench. “I know, I know” she spoke as if she were some kind of cartoon character with a high pitched voice. “Just breathe” she stroked her back. “This is all Geoff’s fault!” she yelled everybody stopped and looked at Nicole. Her belly was massive and her nose was covered with a bloody tissue “What people, I’m a pregnant lady with probably a broken nose whose boyfriend is a total tool, haven’t you seen a girl like me before!” she screamed. Everybody looked at each other not knowing what to do or say. “Nic, just calm down” Belle whispered. “Calm down! Calm down, you want me to calm down, I am pregnant I’m allowed to throw a tantrum if I want! All I wanted was a box of freaking chocolates or a nice dinner with Geoff but no!” her voice was lowered so the rests of the gym members couldn’t hear. “I know it sucks big time” Belle said crossly.

It was half past five and Belle and Nicole were still out. “What if they don’t show up until 8? Then we’ll be stuffed” Geoff panicked.

“Don’t worry, they have no other places to go, they probably have been shopping all day. It’s not like they can go to a night club and pick up random guys or drink themselves stupid. They’re pregnant for goodness sakes” Aden was fed up with waiting, maybe egging the girls on wasn’t such a good idea. They were both dressed in their suits, both of their hair was gel neatly. Aden had set up several candles around the house and lit them, switching the main lights off to give the house a romantic atmosphere. “They should be home soon” Aden said trying to calm Geoff’s nerves. Aden and Geoff were holding a rose in their hands awaiting the arrival of the girls. Ten minutes later they both head voices coming from outside the front door. “That’s them” Aden jumped up quickly from the couch. Geoff followed Aden’s lead. They both stood directly in front of the door, at least 2 metres away. Holding their roses they prepared themselves for the girls. Belle opened the door “Surprise!” Aden and Geoff said at the same time. “Oh my god” Belle looked around with her hands covering her mouth, noticing all the candles around the room. “Aden...” she said quietly with a tear in her eye. “It’s about time you two go here; we have been waiting for ages!” Geoff said pretending to be cross with them. “Sorry, we got caught her with something” Belle looked at Nicole’s nose which had cleared up and stopped bleeding. “Yeah...” Nicole shifted her eyes from side to side. “Thank you so much” Aden handed her rose to Belle and then shared a long kiss. “Sorry Nic, for teasing you” Geoff handed his rose apologetically, “Oh come here you” Nicole pulled Geoff and kissed him passionately. “What’s this?” Belle asked as the unconnected their lips. “A blindfold” Aden tied it around her eyes so she couldn’t see. “You’re next” Geoff winked at her and tied a blindfold around her eyes too. “Where are you taking us?” Nicole asked impatiently, “Hold your horses Nicole, you’ll find out soon enough” Geoff was tiring of hearing Nicole asked the same question.

Aden drove as the girls were blindfolded the backseat of the car. They arrived at the beach. Aden took hold of Belle’s hand and led her down the beach, by the texture and bumpiness of the walkway Belle could tell that she was at the beach. “Aden...where are you taking me? Are you planning on drowning me?” Belle asked with a smile. “No, but that’s not such a bad idea” Belle tried to hit arms arm but missed. “Here we are” Aden said taking off the blindfold. On the beach was a picnic blanket with several tall candles placed in the sand. A picnic basket was placed on the blanket also. The beach was close but not to close. The sound of the waves crashing was so smoothing for Belle, she sat down smiling at down, relieved that Aden didn’t dismiss Valentine’s Day “This is perfect” Belle cuddled Aden. “Yeah, it is” They four glazed out to the ocean eating their seafood dinner with a glass of red wine.

The next day Belle had woken early as she wanted to go food shopping. Aden thought it was unfair if he got to stay in bed so he got up as well. “Morning” Aden kissed her on the cheek. “You’re in a good mood” Belle said thinking he was on drugs. “Yeah that’s because last night was magnificent” he said in a dreamy voice. “It sure was” Belle grabbed her handbag and the shopping list. Then out of the blue there was a knock at the door. “Can you get that?” Belle asked Aden. “Sure, love” Aden walked over to the door expecting his neighbour to be standing at the door asking to borrow the lawnmower again. He opened the door and was surprised to see a young man around the age of 24 and a young girl around the age of 17. “Hello can I help you?” Aden asked with his eyes brows raised. “Ah, yeah I was told that Belle Taylor lives here, Irene told me actually. I’m sure you’re familiar with that name?” The man asked smiling. “Ah yeah I am, and you are?” he stood there shocked, he had never seen these two before and why had they arrived so early in the morning to see Belle. “My name is Ben and this is Rachel, we’re Belle’s brother and sister” Aden’s mouth dropped opened.
