Chapter 5

{In Belle's room}

"With me I just feel like I'm still re-living the assault! I keep seeing that face and feeling like it's happening all over again. I'm so scared. I'm constantly having panic attacks, and then I can't breathe! I can't stop shaking. I feel so overwhelmed. How am I going to get through this? I'm just so tired all the time! I feel so hopeless. Maybe I'd be better off dead." she said as she wiped away her tears with her hand.

"Belle stop" he was astonished to see how badly Axel's rape had affected her.

"I feel as if it's my fault, or I should've been able to stop it. If only I had... "Belle continued to blame herself.

"I feel that way sometimes as well…" Aden could empathize with what Belle was saying, he also had these questions pester inside of him.

"I feel completely filthy, like there's something wrong with me. I can't get clean. "She said as more tears ran down her face. "Right now I just feel like killing Axel"

11:30am {on the beach}

Belle and Aden sat on the beach; he brought fish n chips for them both to share.

"Here have some" he said with a smile offering her some chips.

"Ah no, I feel jittery and don't feel like eating." she looked in the opposite direction, avoiding the subject.

"What are you nervous about?" he stared at her blankly.

"Nothing", I should go…Irene might see us together I had to make up an excuse when she found me with you the other night"

"Belle wait" Belle stood up and walked away, he was starting to get really worried about her she wasn't acting herself later. Belle hadn't only been acting out by experimenting with ICE but it seemed her everything about her changed the way she spoke, her body language, even her personal appearance looked different.

6:30pm {Diner}

"Belle are you alright you seemed distressed" Roman watched as she washed the dishes intensely with a troubled facial expression.

"I'm fine" she faced him and smiled then resumed washing the dishes.

"Belle - -"he could tell she was lying and waited for a truthful response.

"If I told you will you keep it a secret?" Roman was like a father to Belle sometimes, she knew that he was one adult she could definitely trust.

"Of course" he came closer.

"Do you know Axel? He was Aden's friend" she took her gloves off.

"Yeah" Roman said in a concern voice.

"And do you remember that party Nicole threw" she could feel her face getting hotter.

"..Yeah..." Roman's voice got louder. After the party Roman had grounded Nicole for the entire holiday period.

Suddenly Belle had a disturbing flashback. She could hear his voice 'Shhh its okay'

Coming back to reality she spoke slowly. "When I was upstairs…he came in the room and…"

"Did he hurt you?" he could see on her face that it was something serious.

"You could say that" It was painful saying the word rape.

"Did he assault you?" Roman whispered.

"Yeah" she whispered back. He's eyes widened.

"Roman, I'm not coping well… I don't even know what day it is, or what I'm supposed to be doing. I just keep forgetting things" she openly admitted. Somehow it was easier admitting to Roman then Aden.

She turned her back to him picking up a dirty plate wiping off the bubbles. "I just keep thinking, did this really happen? Why me? Maybe I just imagined it. It wasn't really rape."

"Belle, I think you should tell Irene" he said in a serious manner.

"No I cant, what will she think?" she spun around facing him, this grabbed her attention.

"If you want I can tell her" he could see how much fear was inside of her.

"G'day love" Irene walked in the kitchen.

"Hey" Belle pulled a fake smile.

"Irene there's something Belle wants to tell you" he changed his tone to from serious to caring and gentle.

Several minutes later….

"Oh my goodness, you poor thing" Irene placed her hands of her face.

"Yeah she was pretty worried about how you might react" Roman rubbed Belle's back, calming her down.

"Oh love don't worry everything will be okay, I wont let anyone else harm you!" Irene spoke vigorously.

"Irene, I'm sorry for the other night" she lifted her head up with a apologetic face.

"That's alright, I understand" Irene was sympathic.

"Belle just remember, Rape is a crime, talking about it isn't" Roman placed one hand on her shoulder.

Will Irene find out that Aden and Belle are secretly dating?

Roman's like Dad to Belle? Ohhh, why not Jack? He's great :lol:

Glad Belle is telling people. But now i wreckon they'll make her tell the police and sh*t will hit the fan :(

I hope she stops acting weird with Aden :huh:
