grumble bum Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Hi every one. How is every one going with the snow and bush fires.? Please try to stay safe. I would hate to hear that some thing has happened to our forum members.
Miranda Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 That's the thing that worries me about having 'virtual friends'- how would we know if something happened to one of them? Their name would just disappear One of my real life friends has agreed to tell people on my other forums if anything ever happened to me. Morbid but these things happen. So far the snow hasn't stopped me doing anything- my husband was ill when it was snowing and couldn't go to work anyway, my daughter's nursery was shut so we were all cosy at home. Its supposed to snow tonight but I think it will just rain
Miranda Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 Oh dear, this thread has died! I hope it hasn't been caused by my complaining and moaning. Hope everyone is well. I'm enjoying the beginning of spring: everything is so much easier in the warmer weather. I definitely suffer from SAD in winter. I am waiting to see my articles come out in the magazines; the students are generally being nice to me at the moment and have learnt my name at last [!!!]; I am starting my learning support course and that will be out of the way soon I hope. Onward to summer
Lesley Bee Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 Oh dear, this thread has died! I hope it hasn't been caused by my complaining and moaning. Of course not Miranda i actually forgot about it Glad to hear your feeling a bit better and good luck with your articles, they will be amazing (because your fanfics are)
nattie Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Hi I've just discovered this thread. I dieting on the weight watchers online programme at the moment. I do chat on their community board for support but I discovered a great distraction, the Games Board on this Forum.
grumble bum Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Hey everyone. The bush fires have brought back a lot of bad memories for me. Hope everyone is safe and well. Does anyone have any suggestions for party games for a 13 year old party. It is for a girl.

Miranda Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Hi grumble bum. Sorry to hear about your bad memories coming back. I've read that if your memories keep coming up, they need dealing with somehow, but I suppose the process of the memories coming back is a way of dealing with them I read a magazine called 'Psychologies', that is very helpful and they have a forum which is also full of nice helpful people www.psychologies.co.uk No idea about party games for a 13 year old: I'm still at the swings and slide stage Welcome to Nattie, 'be off with you, child' to Charl3n3x [only joking]. BTW, my first article has just been published, I got a copy from the editor today. Its an article about food intolerances, I'm sure I've said before that I have a lot of those, so I know something about them. I'm so excited, I have butterflies in my tummy
Lesley Bee Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Congratulations Miranda Well done you
