On the official Australian Facebook page, they advertised the Home and away store, towards the middle of the 15-20 second video, a female is singing "I want to stay forever, Home and Away with the away bit longer, I am wondering, why would they go to all that trouble if they didn't have a theme song planned for next year or something. I know we haven't heard about next year and the 30th anniversary so maybe they are keeping it under wraps, because they also put a video on Facebook advertising the show in general.

Instead of going for the bog standard song I think it would be quite amusing to go for a songs such as oh I don't know Summertime Paradise by Simple Plan, Summertime Loving Or even Sunshine by Gabrielle or Waves by Mr. Probz Or Bob Marley's Sunshine

True, but for many years the titles changed on an annual basis (though not the theme). The current theme and visuals are OK, and I suppose haven't really dated much, but we've had the same closing credits for 7 years. Might be good to get some fresh visuals. The show features so many fantastic scenic shots, which could easily be used in closing (or opening) credits. If they don't change for the 30th anniversary year, they probably never will

I agree, if we can’t have the theme back(time restraints and all those other excuses) lets have some new fresh looking title cards please. Maybe even ‘30’ behind the logo for a wee while. 

 

Also, the closing credits need to change. They haven’t matched the opening for about 6 years now and it’s the only saving grace for not having an opening theme. 

 

Does es anybody else watch right to te end of the credits sometimes just to remind you of the theme??? Haha ?. 

 

(International viewers of course. I believe sus haven’t had the closing credits for ages. Which is a shame)
