Yes it's been escalated and confirmed by the software developers as a bug, and will be fixed in a future update—as to exactly when that will be I don't know, but the maintenance updates are fairly regular. ?

If you click on your name at the top right of the forum to bring up the dropdown menu, you should see Messages. Click on that and it will ask if you want to re-enable it.

Try Account and see if Messages is in there.

It's different on phones to on computers.

Account settings

Ignored users

 

I’ve looked trough account settings but can’t find any.

I've switched your Messenger back on from my end.

Not everything goes over to the slimmed down mobile theme, so that's obviously one of them.
