Lesley Bee Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 I watched it again on the news last night, i still can't believe it, everytime i see it, it looks worse and worse watching all those people who had lost their homes really devastated me, i just wish there was something i could do for them.
Adelle_fan1000 Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Has anyone seen the picture of a firefighter giving water to a koala.. The Koala held onto the firefighters hand while he was drinking out of it I can't find the picture
Adelle_fan1000 Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 I love this picture.. its sad.. and its also interesting to see the Koala taking a drink
emmasi Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Awww, that's so cute. It's weird how wild animals sometimes understand that people are trying to help. My friend rescued a baby lorakeet that fell out of it's nest, and now it trusts her so much that it rolls over and lets her scratch its stomach. Nothing to do with the bushfires, but that koala inspires adorable tales of native animal rescue There was also a picture on Ellen of a Koala swimming in a tub of water that someone had left out during the fires. It was gorgeous, but I can't find it Ellen, who is married to an Australian, also told her audience: "Don't call them Koala-bears. They're marsupials. Australians think we're stupid when we call them that, so don't do it!" It made me laugh, because it's true
Adelle_fan1000 Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 That's on the Ellen Degenrous show.. i havent see that But i just love that pic... its so thirsty that its trusting the guy
Corey Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Hoping everyone in the areas affected by the bushfires is safe and well. Take care guys and be safe.
~Lynd~ Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I love this picture.. its sad.. and its also interesting to see the Koala taking a drink That's so cute!I don't know if it was that one specifically, but there was one on TT last night with its paws bandaged up.The vet said it would've died if it hadn't been brought in.
adellejefferiesxox Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Don't call them Koala-bears. They're marsupials. Australians think we're stupid when we call them that, so don't do it!" zzazzb Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Bhahaaaa! Aussie think americans are stupid regardless! it's true.... that picture is adorable. there's a video of it also, it's amazing that she knew that the water was good for her, and lapped it up from the bottel.
