I am pleased that the writers are bringing in a storyline which involves a person with a disability.

I hope that it is dealt with sensitively and carefully.

However, I feel that the message here, maybe to bring to the fore the heavy responsibility it brings upon members of the family, in this case especially Xavier.

Xavier is obviously very close to Brendan, but that in turn can cause many problems for Xavier, in so much that he feels a strong personal responsibility for him which in this case, hangs a heavy burden on him.

After all, it is the *carers* life too…and for a young person put in this position, it is a double-edged sword.

I think its great that HAA have brought in a disabled character. Kain is doing an amazing job portraying Brendan.

I like the bond he has with Xavier but i do feel its alittle to much for Xavier as he is only young and thats probably why he was trouble making.

I posted in here yesterday and said that I found him annoying and thought he would annoy me more but after seeing him again in Thursdays episode, I am starting to like him. I'm not sure what made me change my opinion on him. Maybe its his relationship with Xavier. He does an amazing job with Brendan. Its great seeing this side of Xavier.

Im glad you changed your Mind , because having a disability is not all that easy. Since I have one Myself and I really think that Kain is doing a fantastic Job :) although I wish they would bring some one in with 22q11 too that would be interesting.
