devon Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Whats the location of the Docks/Wharf that Aden works at? Is it near to palm Beach? Quote
Dan F Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Brooklyn - its not too far from Palm Beach by water, but around 40 miles by road The locations there will be some of the next ones that will be put up on the main site. Quote
sarahpony Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 There's not much to go on other than a road and some hills. But given they were filming at Penrith Lakes the same week (and they tend to group location shoots together), I suspected it was somewhere along the Castlereagh/Old Castlereagh Road, purely on the proximity of the hills - however I don't seem to be able to track it down...so it may not be..... Thanks Dan, I suspected the same, as I live on a road that comes off Castlereagh Road, and I swear I probably drive past the house that is in the shot about 100 times, and it's driving me mental!!! I remember you had said they shot at Penrith lakes, so put two and two together. Cheers Quote
devon Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 Thanks for that Dan. Thought it was near palm Beach because the backdrops are quite similar to the ones you see at Palm Beach. Quote
sarahpony Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Where are the football scenes being filmed? Quote
Dan F Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Well that particular location is all ready to go up on the site, so I won't 'spoil' it - but its in the Northern Beaches Quote
Mistified Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 Where were the "Afghanistan" scenes filmed? Quote
Dan F Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 Its most likely that they were filmed in the quarries at Penrith Lakes, considering they were filming there the same week - you can read more about them on Cranebrook's Wiki page - where you'll also see a picture of the bridge that Roman went flying off. Mistified Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 ^ If that's the case, using quarries to recreate the sandy landscape of Afghanistan was an excellent idea! Fair play to them! It looked so real, like they had really filmed in the actual location. Thanks Dan. Quote
