I would like to if got to see  characters visit places around Sydney more.

Its like all characters are stuck in Summer Bay and never step out side of Summer Bay.

I think It be great to film say in the CBD  or around the Opera House, talk about Crowd control the cost of filming is probably why we havent?

They have occasionally filmed in the Sydney CBD and the inner suburbs. The filmed in the central area in 1990, 1992, 1994 and 1999 and probably several other times. Sometimes the Sydney skyline has been seen in the background like when Michael went to find Hayden.

They have filmed by the Opera House with Sarah & Tug back in the 90s.

I bet they do not do it alot  filming outside the bay yet I think it be great if they did it more

In that case, today's update will hopefully be of some significant interest!

These have been a long time coming, what with wanting to ensure accuracy with the info and provide decent screencaps for comparison, but two major locations have now been added to the site:

Summer Bay High School (1988-96, 2000, 2008-09)
Northern Districts Hospital (1994-2010)

Whilst I don't usually upload two in one go, you'll soon see why I decided to add both at the same time...

The photographs of the various buildings around the complex are placed alongside the relevant screencaps, so be sure to go through the gallery in its entirety if you want to see all the familiar spots.

Thanks to QA as ever, who I think has taken no less than three trips to the filming location over the years as more of its buildings came to light

We do have some of the other school and hospital locations, which will come in future updates.

Hurrah. I did look on Google Maps myself once and wondered if it was near Epping and just could not find the SBH location.

Thanks for the school location. I had no idea the used that outside but with the road as long as they did. 

Will you be putting up the exteria from 97-99?

Yup, that one is awaiting upload (and was actually used until 2001).

Thanks for finding the school location. I think it is a good thing to compare screengrabs to make sure it is the same place. The exterior of the school was seen quite a bit in the early years of the show so good that is another location nailed.
